Every Makita tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are
not satisfied with any Makita tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will
provide, at Makita's option, a replacement or refund. Each
Makita tool is warranted to be free of defects from
workmanship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from
the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop
during the one-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight
prepaid, to one of Makita’s Factory or Authorized Service
Centers. If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective
workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at our option,
replace) without charge.
Every Makita® Lithium-Ion Industrial Power Tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before
leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with any Makita Lithium-Ion tool within 30 days
of purchase, return it and Makita will provide, at Makita's
option, a replacement or refund. Each Makita Lithium-Ion tool is
warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and
materials for the period of THREE YEARS from the date of
original purchase. The Makita Lithium-Ion battery has a limited
ONE YEAR warranty. Should any trouble develop during the
three-year period for the Lithium-Ion tool and during the one-
year period for the Lithium-Ion battery, return the COMPLETE
tool and or battery, freight prepaid, to one of Makita's Factory or
Authorized Service Centers.
If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will
repair (or at our option, replace) without charge. This warranty does not apply to Makita
Accessories.
These warranties do not apply where:
Repairs have been made or attempted by others
Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear
The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
Alterations have been made to the tool
In no event shall Makita be liable for (A) any indirect, incidental, punitive or
consequential damages arising from the sale or use of the products sold
hereunder, or (B) any amount in excess of the amount actually paid to Makita
for the products sold hereunder for any liability arising from the sale or use of
the products sold hereunder. This limitation applies both during and after the
terms of the warranty.
Makita disclaims liability for any implied warranties, including implied warranties
of “Merchantability” and “Fitness for a specific purpose,” after the one-year term
and three-year term for qualifying Lithium-Ion models of this warranty.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary
from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Some
states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation
may not apply to you.

Read, understand and follow all instructions and warnings in tool or charger instruction
manual as well as those provided with recommended accessories.
Keep guards in place and in working order.
Use recommended accessories only.
Check damaged parts. (Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function). A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly
repaired or replaced by an authorized service center.
Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
Consider work area environment. Do not use power tools in damp or wet locations.
Keep work area well lit. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use tools or chargers in
presence of flammable liquids or gases.
Keep children away. All visitors should be kept away from work area.
Store idle tools. When not in use, tools should be stored high or locked up out of reach of
children.
Use the right tool. Do not force a small tool or attachment to do the job of a heavy duty
tool. Do not use tool or accessories for purpose not intended. Only use proper,
recommended accessories for the tool being used.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving
parts. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
Use safety glasses whenever operating any tool. Makita safety goggles and glasses
are available (part no. 191686-2, 191684-A and 191685-A). Also use face or dust mask if
operation is dusty.
Don’t abuse cord. Never carry tool by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle.
Secure work. Use clamps or a vise to hold workpiece. It can be safer and it frees both
hands to operate and control tool.
Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance.
Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories.
Un-plug tools. When not in use, before servicing, and when changing accessories.
Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form a habit of checking to see that keys and
adjusting wrenches are removed from tool before turning it on.
Avoid unintentional starting. Don’t carry plugged-in tool with finger on switch.
Be sure switch is OFF when plugging in.
Outdoor use extension cords. When tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords
intended for use outdoors and so marked.
Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces. For
example: pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerator enclosures.
Replacement parts. When servicing, use only genuine Makita replacement parts.
Never leave tool running unattended. Turn power off. Don’t leave tool until it comes
to a complete stop.
