Intended use of the tool 1. Use right tool. The cordless string trimmer is only intended for cutting grass and light weeds. It should not be used for any other purpose such as hedge cutting as this may cause injury. 2. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended accessories and attachments. Battery protection system Switch action The tool is equipped with a battery protection system. This system automatically cuts off power to the motor to extend battery life. The tool will automatically stop during operation if the tool and/or battery are placed under one of the following conditions: WARNING: Before installing the battery cartridge into the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the "OFF" position when released.
When the tool is also overloaded and has stopped during operation, the lamp lights up in red. Refer to the following table for the status and action to be taken for the indication lamp. To adjust the front grip angle, loosen the thumb nut, set the front grip at an proper angle according to your work and then tighten the thumb nut clockwise firmly. ► 1 . For plastic blade head: Attach the wire guard to the holes on the rear side of the protector. The blade mark on the protector indicates the hole to be used. If the nylon cutting head is damaged, replace it immediately. Use of a damaged cutting tool could result in serious personal injury.

OPERATION Cutting the grass Hold the grass trimmer at the angle of about 50° to the ground. Move the grass trimmer from right to left slowly. Cut the grass a few times from the top of the grass at the tip of the nylon cord or with the blade. NOTICE: Do not cut high grass at a time. Cutting the high grass at a time near the root may cause the nylon cutting head or plastic blade to be entangled by grass. This may cause the motor overload, resulting in damage to the grass trimmer.
Using the grass trimmer as an edger Using the grass trimmer as an edger is suitable for cutting the grass growing along the bricks or blocks. MAINTENANCE WARNING: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and battery cartridge is removed before attempting to perform inspection or maintenance on the tool. Failure to switch off and remove the battery cartridge may result in serious personal injury from accidental start-up. Pull down the wire guard and rotate the grass trimmer 180°.
Replacing the plastic blade If the plastic blade is worn out, replace it with a new one. To install the plastic blade, align the direction of the blade with the mark on the plastic blade head, and then insert it all the way until it locks in place with a little click. TROUBLESHOOTING Before asking for repairs, conduct your own inspection first. If you find a problem that is not explained in the manual, do not attempt to dismantle the tool. MONTAJE Para reducir el riesgo de daños a objetos en frente del cabezal de corte, inserte el protector de alambre en el protector de tal forma que se controle el rango de corte. PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrese siempre de que la herramienta esté apagada y el cartucho de batería haya sido extraído antes de realizar cualquier trabajo en la misma. Extienda ligeramente hacia afuera el protector de alambre y luego insértelo en los orificios del protector.

OPERACIÓN Corte de pasto Sostenga el cortador de pasto a un ángulo de aproximadamente 50° respecto al suelo. Mueva el cortador de pasto de derecha a izquierda lentamente. Corte el pasto unas cuantas veces desde la parte de arriba en la punta del cordón de nailon o con la cuchilla. AVISO: No corte el césped largo en una sola pasada. Cortar el césped largo en una sola pasada cerca de la raíz podría ocasionar que el cabezal de corte de nailon o la cuchilla de plástico se enredara en el pasto.
AVISO: Cuando corte el pasto, mueva el cortador de pasto alrededor del árbol o bloques de manera que el cordón de nailon o cuchilla no toque el árbol o los bloques. Se recomienda mantener la herramienta a más de 5 cm (1/4″) de distancia del árbol o bloque. Si el cordón de nailon o cuchilla tocan el árbol o bloque, el cordón de nailon podría romperse o la cuchilla desgastarse rápidamente.
Almacenamiento El orificio en el mango resulta útil para colgar la herramienta en la pared usando un clavo o tornillo. Antes de almacenar la herramienta, levante el protector de alambre, acorte el eje, y luego pliegue la empuñadura delantera. 1 1 ► 1 .
