Handcrafted Character Graded Products
Our handcrafted and textured products are manufactured to achieve the look of
time worn elegance and naturally aged hardwood flooring.
Whether the planks are hand scraped or wire brushed, extreme care is taken to
choose planks that that exhibit character, color and grain variations to meet our
strict design specifications. Each plank is handcrafted to meet these guidelines.
We use character graded hardwood to meet these design
specifications, which may include naturally occurring cracks, splits, knotholes,
mineral streaks, filler for stability, etc. By using this grade of material we are able
to enhance the natural beauty of the hardwood floor you have chosen. When
using the natural hardwoods and by handcrafting each plank there could be
instances of some splintering or other imperfections before or after installation.
This is not considered a defect in the product and does not affect performance
of the floor.
Due to the nature of natural products there can be a difference in samples and
the received product due to a variety of issues, including color/tone, naturally
occurring character imperfections such as knotholes and mineral streaks, etc, as
well as grain orientation. Samples that have been exposed to sunlight or
naturally aged may differ slightly from the product received. We accept no
liability for claims due to variations in color, grain and character between the
sample board and your installed floor.
