SETUPO
Unfold the legs as shown in fig. 1
Open the 3 tripod legs.
To adjust the tripod's height, release the
telescopic extensions on each leg by
rotating lever "A" on the locking collar "B".
LEG ANGLE ADJUSTMENT e
Each leg can be set independently
at
any
of of
the 3 angles
of
spread.
To
change the
angle on a leg, close the leg slightly towards
the centre column and press down the lock -
ing button "W" at the top
of
the leg. While
pressing the button, select the new leg angle
and then release button "W" to lock in posi -
tion, then open the leg fully again.The angle
of
each leg can be adjusted independently
of
the other two legs.

care not to insert your fingers inside
the central aperture
on
the spider
collar.

COLUMN
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT e
To
release the centre column "C", unlock
gear "D" and adjust the height
of
the column
as required. Tighten gear "D" to lock the col -
umn in position.
LEVELLINGO
For correct head use, level the head
on
the
tripod using levelling system "G" and level -
ling bubble
"Q"
(fig. 4): when the head is lev-
eled, lock it by rotating levelling system "G"
clockwise.
FITTING THE QUICK RELEASE PLATE
TOACAMERAC,&C,
The quick release plate (fig. 5) has a 1/4"
camera screw "S", a 3/8" adapter "X" to
mount onto screw "S", and
an
anti-rotation
pin "L". All are supplied unmounted. Check
the size
of
the tripod attachment hole on
your camera, and select the correct screw
"X"
or
"S" to fit onto the quick release plate
(fig. 5).
If the camera also has an anti-rotation hole,
insert the anti-rotation pin "L" into the plate
as shown
in
figure
5.
Align the camera
on
plate "H" ensuring the pin "L" is correctly
seated in the camera before fastening the
plate.
Fix the camera onto plate "H" (fig.
6)
by
tightening screw "X"
or
"S" into the camera's
threaded hole.
You
can use a coin to tighten
the screw WITHOUT APPLYING FORCE.
If
the camera doesn't have an anti-rotation
hole, align the camera lens with the arrow
marked "LENS"
on
the underside
of
camera
plate "H" before tightening fully.

Unlock knob

, slide the camera plate "H"
into the top
of
the head as shown
in
figure
until the secondary safety lock button
"N"
clicks, then tighten knob
"M"
without apply -
ing too much force before fitting the sliding
plate. During the procedure, hold the cam -
era to prevent it from slipping backwards
and forwards.
REMOVING THE CAMERA
FROM THE HEAD 0
Whenever the camera needs to be removed
from the head, hold the camera securely in
one hand while opening locking knob
"M"
,
then slide the camera out
of
the head press -
ing the secondary safety button
"N"
with the
other hand.
NOTE
For outdoor use, especially in windy condi -
tions, the tripod's stability can be increased
by hanging a counterweight (not supplied)
on
hook "I". The combined weight
of
this
extra load and the camera must not exceed
4 kg/8.8 lbs.
ATTACHING
ACCESSORIES~
Remove cap "K".
The tripod has one 3/8" female thread "P"
(fig. 10) which can be used to attach acces -
series, such as Manfrotto arms that can in
turn support lights, monitors, etc.

The pan bar "F" (fig.
9)
can be rotated and
positioned at any 18° interval while avoiding
slippage
or
accidental loosening.
To
change
its position, unlock knob "Y", choose the
new position
of
pan bar "F" and lock knob
"Y". The head will move through 360° pan
and +70°/-90° vertical tilt movements.
Control movement accurately using the
pan
bar "F"
- The
pan
movement
can
be locked using
the
knob
"V"
- The tilt movement can be locked using
the knob "U".
FOLDING THE TRIPOD

Remove plate "H" as described above. Un -
lock gear "D" (1), raise column "C" (2) to its
highest point and then lock it again using
gear "D" (3). Place the pan bar "F" (4)
in
the
vertical position and lock it with knob "Y" (5).
Unlock tilt knob "U" (6), pan knob "V" (6) and
levelling gear "G" (6). Position the head as
shown in the figure 7. Fold the legs slightly
towards the centre column "C", pull each
angle selector "W" to release and fold
th
e
legs back 180° to close.
TRANSPORTATION~
A carrying strap can optionally be attached
to the tripod's hook "I"
LEG LOCK TENSION ADJUSTMENT

If
the telescopic leg extensions slip
afte~e
locking lever "A" has been tightened, or
if
locking levers "A" have been too stiff to be
used, the locking tension needs to be
adjusted. To do this, turn screw "Z"
clockwise (to tighten)
or
anticlockwise
(to loosen) using a TORX key number 2
0.
As reference we suggest to apply 1/3
of
a
turn to restore the proper tension.
SPIDER COLLAR
TENSION ADJUSTMENT
~
If
the leg tension is too weak
or
too stiff,
compromising the proper product use, the
spider collar tension needs to be adjusted.
To
do this, turn screw
'T'
clockwise (to
ti
ghten) or anticlockwise (too loosen) using
a TORX key number

we suggest to apply 1 /3
of
a turn to restore
the proper tension.
