Installation Guide
DESCRIPTION
UltraCare Grout Refresh is a nonflammable, ready-to-use, water-based, polymer-
modified colorant and sealer for grout joints. It can be applied onto and bonds to
cement, epoxy, urethane and acrylic grouts.

WHERE TO USE
• For interior/exterior use
• For revitalizing old grout joints
• For use on cement, epoxy, urethane and acrylic grouts
• For vertical and horizontal applications
LIMITATIO NS
• Do not install over substrates containing asbestos.
• Do not clean with solvent-based cleaners once UltraCare Grout Refresh
has been applied.
• Porous tile may require prior sealing with MAPEI's UltraCare Penetrating
Plus Stone, Tile and Grout Sealer to prevent the color of UltraCare Grout
Refresh from absorbing into the tile.
• Do not use in submerged areas, such as pools or hot tubs, or in areas
subject to hydrostatic pressure.
• Grout should be cured for at least 48 hours before being treated with
UltraCare Grout Refresh.
• Use only when the substrate and ambient temperatures are between 50°F
and 95°F (10°C and 35°C).

SURFACE PREPARATION
• Substrate should be clean and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, paint, curing
agents, concrete sealers, loosely bonded toppings, loose particles, and
any other substance that may prevent or reduce adhesion.
