Store discs properly by placing them in their disc cases. • Do not attach a piece of paper or sticker on the label side of disc. When a disc has a piece of plastic tape or rental CD label with paste protruded from the edge or when a disc has a trace of such a sticky object, do not attempt to play the disc.

For recording from internal CD-Player: - (double speed recording) - fast recording of a disc or programmed tracks. - (normal speed recording) - listening to a recording while making it. - (double speed recording and auto-finalize) - fast recording of a disc or programmed tracks. Text Memory Review/Erase Text Memory Recording submenus All input CD-Text data is stored in the Text Memory of the CDR500 until the disc is finalized. If the text memory becomes full, the message will appear in the display and you will be unable to add more text. If you would like to add more text, you must finalize a disc that has text stored in the Text Memory or the text for a disc can be erased by following the procedure below.

If Auto Stop is ON, the chart below indicates what amount of silence (-55dB or lower) is required for each source to trigger the CDR500 to stop recording. Copy protection Balance (Only active in Record/Standby mode) All pre-recorded audio CDs include a digital mark indicating the copy protection status of the disc. This information is stored in the user data area of the disc and is transmitted in the SPDIF format digital output. During recording (with both analog and digital sources), the balance of the audio recorded onto the disc can be adjusted using the Balance menu item.
