USB memory device playback
You can playback music stored on a USB memory device
usingthisunit.

Connect the USB memory device to the USB port.

power to the main unit.

Press USB to switch the input
source to “USB”.

folder, then press ENTER or p.

press ENTER, p or 1/3.
Playbackstarts.
•IftheUSBmemorydeviceisdividedintomultiplepartitions,
onlythetoppartitioncanbeselected.
•ThisunitiscompatiblewithMP3lesconformingto“MPEG-
1AudioLayer-3”standards.
•Marantz does not guarantee that all USB memory devices
willoperate orreceive power.When usinga portableUSB
connectiontypeHDDofthekindtowhichanACadaptercan
beconnectedtosupplypower,usetheACadapter.
NOTE
•USBmemorydeviceswillnotworkviaaUSBhub.
•ItisnotpossibletoconnectanduseacomputerviatheUSB
portofthisunitusingaUSBcable.
•Do not use an extension cable when connecting a USB
memory device. This may cause radio interference with
otherdevices.
•FilescanbereadfromaUSBmemorydevicebyconnecting
thedevicetothisunit.Thelereadingtimevariesaccording
to the amount of data saved on the USB memory device.
Several minutes may be required to read the maximum
permissiblenumberoflesandfolders.
•NotethatMarantz willacceptno responsibilitywhatsoever
for any problems arising with the data on a USB memory
device when using this unit in conjunction with the USB
memorydevice.
Removing the USB memory device

Press X (on/standby) to set the
standby mode.

Check that the communication
indicator on the USB memory
device is not flashing, then pull
out the USB memory device.
NOTE
DonotremovetheUSBmemorydevicefromtheunitwhen
theUSBmemorycommunicationindicatorisashing.Doing
somaydamagetheUSBmemorydevice,ormaycorruptthe
lesrecordedontheUSBmemorydevice.
Playing repeatedly (Repeat playback)
Press REPEAT.
Repeatplaybackstarts.
•Each time you press REPEAT, the
repeat mode is toggled as shown
below.
