source to “Coaxial” or “Optical”.

•Linear PCM signals with sampling frequencies of 32 kHz,
44.1kHz,48kHz,64kHz,88.2kHz,96kHz,176.4kHzand
192kHzcanbeinputintheunit.
•Do not input non-PCM signals, such as Dolby Digital, and
DTS.Thiscausesnoiseandcoulddamagethespeakers.
•Ifthe sampling frequencyswitches, suchas from Amode
toBmodeinaCSbroadcast,mutingmayoperatefor1–2
seconds,cuttingthesound.
Connecting and playing back from a
computer (USB)
ThisunitcanplaybothPCMsourceandDSDsource.
n Installing the dedicated driver
Beforemusiclessavedonacomputercanbeplayedon
this unit, the dedicated driver must be downloaded from
theMarantzwebsite,andinstalledinthecomputer.
However,driversdonotneedtobeinstalledforMacOS.
NOTE
•The dedicated driver must be installed in the computer
beforethisunitis connectedtoacomputer.Operationwill
not occur correctly if connected to the computer before
the dedicated driver has been installed. Moreover, if the
computerisrunningWindowsXPasitsOS,thecomputer’s
speedwilldecreasesignicantly,andacomputerrestartmay
berequired.

•Perform operations such as playback and pause on the

buttonsonthisunitortheremotecontrol.
•You can also control the volume and equalizer on the
computer.Enjoyplayingmusicatthedesiredvolume.
•WhenthisunitisfunctioningasaD/Aconverter,soundisnot
outputfromthecomputer’sspeakers.
•If the computer is disconnected from this unit while the
computermusicplaybacksoftwareisrunning,theplayback
software may freeze. Always exit the playback software
beforedisconnectingthecomputer.
•When an abnormality occurs on the computer, disconnect
theUSBcableandrestartthecomputer.
•Thesupportedsamplingfrequenciesare32/44.1/48/64/
88.2/96/176.4/192kHz(PCM)and2.8224MHz(DSD).
•Thesamplingfrequencyofthemusicplaybacksoftwareand
samplingfrequencydisplayedonthisunitmaydier.
