1 - Introduction Welcome to the world of mobile navigation! With Destinator, you can steer into a new era of mobile navigation. Simple operation, clear maps in 2D or 3D mode as well as numerous innovative features and functions have made Destinator the essential guide for every traveller – whether in the car, on foot or by bike.
2 - Getting Started End User Licence Agreement When you start Destinator for the first time, the End-User Licence Agreement screen appears. Please review the license information and tap the Agree button. When you start Destinator for the first time, the End-User Licence Agreement screen appears. Driver Warning When you start Destinator for the first time, the End-User Licence Agreement screen appears.
Getting Started Tap the Next button to move from screen to screen. Tap the Done button on the QuickNav screen to save your configuration choices and exit the Wizard. The Destinations menu appears. Menus Destinations – (see "Destinations Menu" on page 4) menu - Provides the central navigation features, such as Addresses, Recent Locations, My Favorites, and POI (Points of Interest). Options (see "Options Menu" on page 5) menu - Provides 2D/3D and Day/Night map view options, Traffic Info.
Getting Started Options Menu The Map Manager button displays a menu that lets you select from the following map buttons: Select Map, Pedestrian Mode, Free Map Browsing , Units of Measure, and Map Settings. For more information, see “Map Manager (on page 23)”. The Day/Night Mode toggle button lets you display the map view for either day or night driving. For a display of day and night maps, see "Map Views (on page 9)".
Getting Started Map Manager Menu The Select Map button lets you choose among different maps on your memory card. For more information, see "Select Map (on page 24)". The Pedestrian Mode/Driving Mode button lets you toggle between travelling as a pedestrian or in a vehicle. When in Pedestrian Mode, you are not limited by vehicle constraints, such as one way streets. Note that you can only generate a route up to ten kilometres and Voice prompts are not available.
Getting Started Settings Menu The button, at the bottom of the Options menu, lets you configure your settings options. The Prompts button lets you specify the types of voice or visual prompts that you want to use. For more information, see " Prompts (on page 29)". The Language button lets you select the language for announcing travel prompts, street names, and driving directions. For more information, see Language Settings (on Figure 7 - Settings Menu page 29)..

Generated route Travel direction The red GPS receiver means that a reliable GPS signal is not yet located. The green GPS receiver means that a reliable GPS signal is located and that you are ready to navigate.
Getting Started Map Views From the Options menu, you can determine whether you want to see a two-dimensional or three-dimensional map in daylight or night-time conditions. Getting Started Screen Buttons The following buttons appear on many of the navigation Destinator screens. When you tap the Next button for a selected address, group, or place, Destinator automatically opens the next screen in the sequence. When you tap the Back button, Destinator returns you to the previous screen. When you tap the GO button, Destinator calculates the route to your selected destination. The Actions button provides a list of command options available for the selected address or place.
3 - Search for a Location Enter Address When you click the Address button, the Address screen appears as shown below. Figure 14 - Display the Address Screen Note: For United States maps, an additional States Address screen appears. You can use the keyboard to enter the characters of the address name. The characters appear in the Address field. Destinator automatically searches the Address list for the first occurrence of the entered characters.
Search for a Location The following command keys are available to enhance your search process: If the automatic search feature does not find your specified name, use the Find button to conduct a sub-search, particularly useful when the address name consists of two or more words. The Scroll buttons let you move up or down the list of address items, such as town or street names. The Hide/Display Keyboard toggle button lets you extend or shorten the address list by hiding or displaying the keyboard.
Search for a Location Postcode This sequence provides the following address screens: Zip Code, Street, Address Number You can locate a street address by entering the post code, without entering a town name. Useful when you have no information about the town. Address Actions When you have specified an address, tap the Actions button to select from the following Address commands: Set as Origin Lets you designate the selected location as the route origin.
Search for a Location This option selects the route that takes the least amount of time. Quick is the default value. This option selects the route that is the shorter distance. Remember, the shorter route may not always be the quickest, as you are able to travel faster on some roads than on others. When you are ready, tap the button to create a route to your selected destination. Note: Route generation excludes any detours, stops or delays along the route.
Search for a Location From this screen, you can tap the Actions button to select from the following command options. Set as Origin Lets you designate the selected location as the route origin. You would use this command when calculating a route from a point other than your current location. Add to Favorites Lets you add an address to your list of favourite locations. Delete Item Lets you delete a recent location. Clear List Lets you clear all locations in the Recent Locations screen.
Search for a Location Favourite Groups You can tap the Actions button from the My Favourites screen to add, edit, or delete groups, as described below. Add Group When you tap this button, the Favourites Group screen appears. Enter the group name and select an icon to identify the group, as shown below. Figure 19 - Create Favourites Group The icon identifies all destinations located in that group, as displayed on the map.
Search for a Location Notes: Favourite Alert settings affect all Favourites Groups. The 2nd Alert must be set to go off at closer distance than the 1st Alert. Alerts can be set for a group but not for individual locations. Of course, you can always create a group that has just one location. You can disable the alerts for all groups by selecting the 1st Alert setting to Off. You can disable the alerts for a particular group by removing the tick next to the selected group.
Search for a Location POI (Points of Interest) The POI list is a collection of hundreds of interesting or useful places organised by easy-to-find categories. For example, you can use Destinator to guide you to a shopping centre, hotel, restaurant, or petrol station. From the Destinations menu, tap the Points of Interest button. The POI screen appears. You can find a button and entering text in the POI Category field.
Search for a Location Subcategories Many categories have subcategories to provide for an even greater list of choices. For example, “Petrol Station” may have many subcategories each representing a particular brand name. The same is also true for Hotels. Restaurants have subcategories that represent different types of food, such as Indian, Italian, and French, as shown below.
Search for a Location Sort By ABC Lets you sort the entries of the selected category alphabetically or by distance from your current location. Note: Destinator initially displays the entries by distance. Information This button displays the location’s address information. Route Manager From the Options menu, tap the Route Manager button to display Destinator’s route navigation features, as described in the sections below.
Search for a Location Route Summary or Cancel Route The Route Summary button lets you display an overview of your complete route on the Map Manager screen, the total driving distance to your destination, the estimated travel time, and the complete destination address. The Cancel Route button, in the Destinations menu, stops the current navigation and clears the route. This feature is active only after a destination has been set.
Search for a Location Delete Group Select a group and tap this button to remove the group from the Avoid Roads screen. The road entries in this group are also removed. When selecting a group route, you can tap the roads located in the group. or buttons to include or exclude all Avoid Road Locations When you tap Default or an Avoid Roads group, Destinator displays the group screen, which lets you select roads to avoid.
Search for a Location Route Playback This feature lets you record your route as you’re driving and then to play it back on the Main Map screen. From the Route Manager menu, tap the Route Playback button. To record a route, tap the Record button in the Route Playback screen. Destinator shows the Main Map screen and navigates you to your selected destination. To stop recording, return to the Route Playback screen and tap the Stop button.
Search for a Location Map Manager From the Options menu, tap the Map Manager button to display Destinator’s map navigation features, as described in the sections below. Select Map This feature lets you change the currently selected map to another map saved on your SD memory card. You can tap the Select Map button to display the maps saved on your SD memory card. The Select Map screen displays map details and version numbers. The map currently used appears at the top of the list.
Search for a Location Units of Measure You can tap the Units of Measure button to specify the measurement system you would like to use. You can select: o Miles/Yards o Miles, 10 o Kilometres, Metres th of a Mile Map Settings You can tap the Map Settings button to customize your map display, as shown in the figure below. The following map settings are: Map Orientation Forward is up – This option orients the map so that your forward direction is always at the top.
Search for a Location Figure 29 - Travel to Multiple Routes The Show Map screen provides you with the following route types: Quick and Short. You can select Short (the default value) to calculate a route with the shorter physical distance between your current location and the selected designation. When you tap the GO button, Destinator automatically calculates the faster route. Defining Route Groups A Route Group represents a group of stops.
Search for a Location Setting Stops Along the Route You can set up stops by selecting the Route Group and tapping the Next button. From the Stops screen, tap the Actions button to add, rename, or delete a destination. Add a stop by Address, POI, My Favourites, or Recent Locations. Select one of these options, and specify a location. The selected location appears in the Stops screen.
Search for a Location Optimize Route Your trip itinerary is created by the sequence of stops entered. This may not be the most efficient route. When you click Optimize Stops, Destinator changes the order of stops to create the most efficient route. Information This button displays the location’s address information.
4 - Settings Prompts You can select the types of voice and visual notifications that you would like to use while navigating. From the Settings menu, tap the Prompts button. The Prompts screen appears. Voice Prompts Speed Warning Warns you when your car exceeds the speed limit. This prompt is not active by default. Route Recalculation Activated when Destinator recalculates a new route. This prompt is not active by default.
Settings Number of Satelligtes Time Settings You can choose your time zone by tapping the left and right arrow buttons. To automatically adjust for daylight savings, select the Daylight Savings checkbox. Once you have made your selections, the date and time will be displayed automatically. Demo Button The Start Demo button lets Destinatd the Demo by tapping the Stop Demo button. or display a simulated route. Many of the Destinator navigation features are disabled when the Demo is running.

1 - Introduction Bienvenue dans le monde de la navigation mobile ! Avec Destinator 6, vous entrez dans une nouvelle ère de la navigation mobile. Facile à utiliser, doté de cartes claires en mode 2D ou 3D ainsi que de nombreuses fonctions innovantes, Destinator 6 constitue le guide indispensable du voyageur – à pied, en voiture ou à vélo.
2 - Mise en route Contrat de licence d'utilisation Lorsque vous démarrez Destinator pour la première fois, l'écran Contrat de licence d'utilisation s'affiche. Examinez les informations relatives à la licence et tapez sur le bouton J'accepte. Pour chaque modification de carte où l'utilisateur n'a pas approuvé le contrat de licence du fournisseur de la carte, l'écran Contrat de licence d'utilisation s'affiche.
Mise en route Gestionnaire de cartes (voir « Menu Gestionnaire de cartes » à la page 6) - Affiche les fonctions relatives à la sélection de cartes et la spécification de paramètres de carte. Extras (à la page 6) - Affiche les fonctions des modules complémentaires de Destinator Réglages (voir « Menu Réglages » à la page 7) - Présente les options de réglage permettant de configurer le système de navigation. Dans l’écran Carte principale, appuyez sur le bouton Menu indiqué ci-dessous.
Mise en route Menu Options Le bouton bascule Mode de jour/de nuit permet de sélectionner l’affichage de la carte pour une conduite de jour ou de nuit. Pour l’affichage de carte de jour et de nuit, reportez-vous à la section Illustration 3 - Menu Options “Affichage de la carte (à la page 9)”. Le bouton Gestionnaire d’itinéraire permet d’accéder à un menu présentant les boutons suivants : Afficher itinéraire, Étape par étape, Récapituler l'itinéraire, Le bouton Routes à éviter et QuickNav.
Mise en route Menu Gestionnaire de la carte Le bouton Sélectionner carte permet de choisir parmi différentes cartes sur votre carte mémoire. Pour plus d’informations, reportez-vous à la section “Sélection de la carte (à la page 24)”. Le bouton Unités de mesure permet de définir les unités du système de mesure. Pour plus d’informations, reportez-vous à la section “Unités de mesure (à la page 25)”.
Mise en route Menu Réglages Le bouton Réglage , en bas du menu Options, permet de configurer vos paramètres. Le bouton Heure permet de choisir votre fuseau horaire et heure d’ été. La date et l’heure seront affichées automatiquement. Pour plus Le bouton Commandes permet de définir les types de commandes vocales ou visuelles à utiliser. Pour plus d’informations, reportez-vous à la section “Commandes (à la page 29)”.
Mise en route Emplacement actuel en Mode Véhicule. Emplacement actuel en Mode Piéton. Dernier emplacement connu lorsque le signal GPS n’est pas fiable. Destination sélectionnée Itinéraire généré Sens de déplacement Un récepteur GPS rouge signifie qu’aucun signal GPS fiable n’a encore été détecté. La barre GPS est un bouton bascule affichant la distance restant à parcourir et la durée du trajet restant, l’heure d’arrivée estimée, le nom et le numéro de rue, la vitesse et l’altitude.
Mise en route Affichage de la carte Dans le menu Options, vous pouvez sélectionner un affichage de jour et de nuit, en deux ou trois dimensions. Mise en route Boutons d’écran Les boutons d’écran suivants apparaissent sur la plupart des écrans de navigation Destinator. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton Suivant pour une adresse, un groupe ou un lieu sélectionné, Destinator ouvre automatiquement l’écran de la séquence suivante. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton Retour, Destinator vous ramène à l’écran précédent. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton GO, Destinator calcule l’itinéraire vers la destination sélectionnée.
3 - Recherche d’un emplacement Saisie d’une adresse Lorsque vous cliquez sur le bouton Adresse, l’écran Adresse apparaît comme indiqué ci-dessous. Illustration 14 - Affichage de l’écran Adresse Remarque : En ce qui concerne les cartes des États-Unis, un écran d'adresse supplémentaire s'affiche pour les États. Vous pouvez utiliser le clavier pour saisir les caractères de l’adresse. Les caractères apparaissent dans le champ Adresse.
Recherche d’un emplacement La touche Sélect. permet d’afficher les caractères en minuscules, des chiffres ou des caractères spéciaux. Ce bouton permet également d’afficher d’autres caractères alphabétiques (par exemple, les caractères grecs). Le système d’exploitation installé sur votre appareil doit prendre en charge ces caractères. La touche Effacer permet de supprimer le dernier caractère d’un champ d’adresse.
Recherche d’un emplacement Dans d’autres Vous pouvez sélectionner une autre carte d’un pays dans lequel vous pouvez vous rendre en véhicule. cartes Cette fonction est seulement disponible si vous avez installé les cartes suivantes : Carte du pays dans lequel vous vous trouvez actuellement. Carte du pays dans lequel vous souhaitez vous rendre.
Recherche d’un emplacement Atteindre votre destination Une fois l’adresse spécifiée, appuyez sur le bouton Suivant. Destinator affiche votre destination sur l’écran Carte avant de procéder au calcul d’itinéraire. Vérifiez que l’adresse de la destination affichée en haut de l’écran est exacte. Appuyez sur le bouton Retour et changez votre entrée d’adresse si vous souhaitez modifier votre destination.
Recherche d’un emplacement Dans cet écran, vous pouvez appuyer sur le bouton Actions pour sélectionner une des options de commande suivantes. Déf. comme origine Permet de définir l’emplacement sélectionné comme point de départ de l’itinéraire. Utilisez cette commande lorsque vous calculez un itinéraire à partir d’un point autre que votre emplacement actuel.
Recherche d’un emplacement Groupes de favoris Vous pouvez appuyer sur le bouton Actions dans l’écran Mes favoris pour ajouter, modifier ou supprimer des groupes, comme indiqué ci-dessous. Ajouter groupe Lorsque vous appuyez sur ce bouton, l’écran Groupe de favoris s’affiche. Entrez le nom du groupe et sélectionnez une icône pour identifier le nom du groupe, comme indiqué ci-dessous.
Recherche d’un emplacement Il est possible de désactiver les alertes de tous les groupes en réglant la première alerte sur Off. Vous pouvez également désactiver les alertes d’un groupe spécifique en décochant la case située en regard du groupe sélectionné. Réactivez l’alerte désactivée en cochant la case située en regard du groupe sélectionné.
Recherche d’un emplacement POI (Points d’intérêt) La liste de POI répertorie des centaines de lieux intéressants ou utiles classés par catégories faciles d’accès. Vous pouvez par exemple utiliser Destinator pour vous guider vers une galerie marchande, un hôtel, un restaurant ou une station-service. Dans le menu Destinations, appuyez sur le bouton POI. L’écran POI apparaît.
Recherche d’un emplacement Sous-catégories De nombreuses catégories possèdent des sous-catégories, proposant ainsi une liste de choix encore plus étendue. Par exemple, “Station-service” peut présenter de nombreuses sous-catégories, chacune d’entre elles représentant une chaîne spécifique. La même chose peut s’appliquer aux hôtels. Les restaurants peuvent présenter des sous-catégories proposant différents types de cuisine, américaine, italienne et française, comme indiqué ci-dessous.
Recherche d’un emplacement Actions POI Une fois un emplacement POI sélectionné, appuyez sur le bouton Actions pour afficher les commandes répertoriées ci-dessous. Définir l’origine Permet de définir l’emplacement sélectionné comme point de départ de l’itinéraire. Utilisez cette commande lorsque vous calculez un itinéraire à partir d’un point autre que votre emplacement actuel. Afficher sur la carte Permet d’afficher l’adresse sélectionnée sur la carte.
Recherche d’un emplacement Les options suivantes sont disponibles : Le bouton Voir affiche votre itinéraire complet sur l’écran Carte, ainsi que la distance et le temps de trajet estimé restant (TAD). Appuyez sur le bouton Afficher virage pour afficher le prochain virage sur l’écran Carte, le nom de la rue, la distance jusqu’au virage et la direction du virage. Le bouton Éviter permet d’éviter le virage sélectionné sur la liste d’instructions. Destinator recalcule automatiquement l’itinéraire.
Recherche d’un emplacement Groupes Routes à éviter Dans l’écran Routes à éviter, appuyez sur le bouton Actions. L’écran Actions permet de sélectionner l’une des commandes suivantes : Ajouter groupe Entraîne la création d’un nouveau groupe de routes à éviter. Par exemple, vous pouvez créer le groupe “Rues de Paris”, dans lequel vous spécifiez les rues à éviter de cette zone. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton Ajouter groupe, l’écran Groupe des routes à éviter apparaît.
Recherche d’un emplacement Supprimer l’élément Sélectionnez une route et appuyez sur ce bouton pour la supprimer du groupe. Destinator n’évite plus la route supprimée. Afficher sur carte Permet d’afficher la carte présentant la destination afin que vous l’étudiez avant de créer votre itinéraire. Informations Ce bouton affiche l’adresse de l’emplacement. Récapitulation d’itinéraire Cette fonction permet d’enregistrer votre itinéraire pendant la conduite puis de le lire sur l’écran Carte.
Recherche d’un emplacement Gestionnaire de la carte Dans le menu Options, appuyez sur le bouton Afficher itinéraire de cartes pour afficher les fonctions de navigation de Destinator, tel que décrit dans les sections ci-dessous. Sélection de la carte Cette fonction permet de remplacer la carte actuellement sélectionnée par une autre carte enregistrée sur votre carte mémoire SD. Appuyez sur le bouton Sélectionner carte pour afficher les cartes enregistrées sur votre carte mémoire SD.
Recherche d’un emplacement Unités de mesure Appuyez sur le bouton Unités de mesure pour définir le système de mesure à utiliser. Vous pouvez sélectionner : Milles/verges Milles, 10ème de mille Kilomètres/mètres Paramètres de la carte Appuyez sur le bouton Paramètres de la carte pour personnaliser l’affichage de la carte, comme indiqué dans l’illustration ci-dessous.
Recherche d’un emplacement Modules Dans le menu Options, appuyez sur le bouton Modules pour afficher les modules complémentaires de Destinator, tels que décrit dans les sections ci-dessous. Etapes Le planificateur d’étapes permet de programmer un itinéraire ayant jusqu’à douze étapes. Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton GO, l’itinéraire est calculé par étapes, du point de départ à la première étape. Lorsque vous atteignez la première étape, l’itinéraire recalcule la deuxième étape, et ainsi de suite.
Recherche d’un emplacement Illustration 30- Définition d’un groupe d’itinéraire Définition d’étapes sur le trajet Définissez des étapes en sélectionnant le groupe d’itinéraire et en appuyant sur le bouton Suivant Dans l’écran Étapes, appuyez sur le bouton Actions pour ajouter, renommer ou supprimer une destination. Ajoutez une étape par adresse, POI, favori ou emplacement récent. Sélectionnez une de ces options, spécifiez un emplacement et cliquez sur le bouton OK. L’écran Ajouter étape apparaît.
Recherche d’un emplacement Actions Étapes Appuyez sur le bouton Actions pour afficher les options suivantes : Déf. comme origine Permet de définir l’adresse sélectionnée comme point de départ de l’itinéraire. Utilisez cette commande lorsque vous calculez un itinéraire à partir d’un point autre que votre emplacement actuel. Remarque : vous êtes toujours connecté au signal GPS.
4 - Réglages Commandes Vous pouvez sélectionner les types de notifications vocales et visuelles à utiliser en cours de navigation. Dans le menu Réglages, appuyez sur le bouton Commandes. L’écran Commandes apparaît. Commandes vocales Excès de vitesse Vous avertit lorsque vous dépassez la vitesse maximale autorisée. Cette commande n’est pas activée par défaut. Recalculer itinéraire Activée lorsque Destinator recalcule un nouvel itinéraire. Cette commande n’est pas activée par défaut. Sign.
Réglages Latitude - Position d’un endroit vers le nord ou le sud de la surface de la Terre. Vitesse - Vitesse de déplacement exprimée en kilomètres ou en miles par heure. Altitude - Hauteur au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Satellites Paramètres de Heure Vous pouvez choisir votre fuseau horaire en effleurant les touches à flèche vers la gauche et vers la droite. Pour obtenir un réglage automatique de l’heure d’ été, sélectionnez la case Heure d’ été.

1 - Inleiding Welkom in de wereld van de mobiele navigatie! Met Destinator stapt u binnen in een nieuw tijdperk van mobiele navigatie. Dankzij de eenvoudige bediening, de duidelijke kaarten in 2D- of 3D-modus en de talloze innovatieve voorzieningen en functies is Destinator de belangrijkste hulp geworden voor elke reiziger, in de auto, te voet of op de fiets.
2 - Aan de slag Licentieovereenkomst voor eindgebruikers Wanneer u Destinator voor het eerst opstart, verschijnt het scherm Licentieovereenkomst voor eindgebruikers. Lees de licentie-informatie en tik op de toets Akkoord. Bij elke verandering van kaart waarbij de gebruiker de licentieovereenkomst van de kaartprovider niet heeft goedgekeurd, verschijnt het scherm Licentieovereenkomst voor eindgebruikers. Bestuurderswaarschuwing Wanneer u Destinator start, verschijnt het scherm Bestuurderswaarschuwing.
Aan de slag [Menu's] Bestemmingen – (zie "Menu Bestemmingen" op pagina 4)menu – Hierin zijn de belangrijkste navigatiefuncties opgenomen, zoals Addressen, Recente locaties, Mijn favorieten, en POI (nuttige plaatsen).
Aan de slag Menu Opties Met de aan/uit-knop Dag-/nacht modus kunt u de kaart weergeven voor gebruik 's nachts of overdag. Een overzicht van kaarten in dagen nachtmodus vindt u in Kaartschermen (op pagina 9). Met de aan/uit-knop 2D-/3D-modus kunt u de kaart weergeven in 2- of 3-dimensionale weergave om 's nachts of overdag te gebruiken. Een overzicht van 2Den 3D-kaarten vindt u in Kaartschermen (op pagina 9).
Aan de slag Menu Routebeheer Met de knop Wegen vermijden kunt u een bepaald wegtype vermijden, zoals tolwegen of geselecteerde straten. Deze functie wordt beschreven in Wegen vermijden (op pagina 22). Met de knop Gedetailleerd kunt u de volledige, stapsgewijze beschrijvingen naar uw bestemming weergeven. Meer informatie vindt u in Gedetailleerde lijst (op pagina 21). Met de knop Route-info kunt u de volledige route weergeven op het kaartscherm. Deze knop is uitgeschakeld als er geen route bestaat.
Aan de slag Menu Instellingen Met de knop Instellingen , onder aan het menu Opties kunt u uw instellingen configureren. Met de knop Aanwijzingen kunt u opgeven of u gesproken of visuele aanwijzingen wilt gebruiken. Meer informatie vindt u in Aanwijzingen (op pagina 30). Met de knop Help opent u het Help-bestand van Destinator. Met de knop Spraak selecteert u de taal voor het aankondigen van de reisaanwijzingen en routebeschrijvingen.
Aan de slag De huidige locatie in Voertuigmodus. De huidige locatie in Voetgangersmodus. Laatst bekende locatie wanneer GPS-signaal niet betrouwbaar is. Gegenereerde route Rijrichting De rode GPS-ontvanger geeft aan dat er nog geen betrouwbaar GPS-signaal is gevonden. De groene GPS-ontvanger geeft aan dat een betrouwbaar GPS-signaal is gevonden. Deze pictogrammen geven de voedingsbron, elektriciteit of batterij aan.
Aan de slag Kaartschermen In het menu Opties kunt u kiezen of u een twee- of driedimensionale kaart wilt zien in een dag- of nachtweergave. Afbeelding 9 - Scherm met 2D-kaart overdag Afbeelding 10 - Scherm met 2D-kaart 's nachts Afbeelding 11 - Scherm met 3D-kaart overdag Afbeelding 12 - Scherm met 3D-kaart 's nachts Punt op de kaart U kunt naar elk willekeurig punt navigeren door in het kaartscherm direct op de locatie te tikken in de 2D- en 3D-kaartweergave.
Aan de slag Schermknoppen De volgende knoppen komen voor in een groot aantal navigatieschermen van Destinator. Wanneer u op de knop Volgende tikt voor een geselecteerd(e) adres, groep of plaats, wordt in Destinator automatisch het volgende scherm in de reeks geopend. Als u op de knop Terug tikt, gaat u terug naar het vorige scherm in Destinator. Als u op de knop Ga tikt, wordt in Destinator de route naar de geselecteerde bestemming berekend.
3 - Naar een locatie zoeken Adres invoeren Wanneer u op de knop Adres klikt, wordt het scherm Adres weergegeven zoals u hieronder ziet. Afbeelding 14 - Het scherm Adres weergeven N.B.: Voor kaarten van de Verenigde Staten verschijnt er nog een extra adresscherm voor de VS. U kunt het toetsenbord gebruiken om de letters van het adres te typen. De tekens verschijnen in het veld Adres. Destinator zoekt automatisch in de lijst Adres naar de eerste plaats waar de ingevoerde tekens voorkomen.
Naar een locatie zoeken U kunt ook op Volgende tikken om door de reeks adresschermen te gaan. Gebruik de volgende opdrachttoetsen om betere zoekresultaten te verkrijgen: Als de automatische zoekfunctie niet de opgegeven naam oplevert, gebruikt u de knop Zoek om een tweede zoekopdracht te geven, die met name handig is als het adres uit twee of meer woorden bestaat. Met de knoppen Schuiven gaat u omhoog of omlaag door de lijst met adresonderdelen, zoals plaatsof straatnamen.
Naar een locatie zoeken Postcode Deze reeks levert de volgende adresschermen op: Postcode, Straat, Huisnummer U kunt een straat vinden door de postcode op te geven, zonder de plaatsnaam. Handig wanneer u geen informatie over de stad hebt of als de stad meerdere postcodes heeft. Op andere kaarten U kunt een andere kaart selecteren van een land waar u per auto naar toe kunt reizen. Dit is alleen mogelijk als u de volgende kaarten hebt geïnstalleerd: Kaart van het land waar u zich nu bevindt.
Naar een locatie zoeken Afbeelding 16 - Bestemming berekenen Met deze optie selecteert u de route die het minste tijd in beslag neemt. Sneller is de standaardwaarde. Met deze optie selecteert u de route die de kortste afstand beslaat. Bedenk dat een kortere route niet altijd de snelste is, omdat u op bepaalde wegen sneller kunt reizen dan op andere. Als u het adres hebt opgegeven, kunt u Destinator opdracht geven om de route te berekenen met de knop Sneller of Korter.
Naar een locatie zoeken Item verwijderen Hiermee verwijdert u een recente locatie. Lijst wissen Hiermee wist u alle locaties in het scherm Recente locaties. Informatie Met deze knop geeft u de adresgegevens van de locatie weer. Mijn favorieten Een favoriet is een bestemming die u opslaat zodat u deze gemakkelijk opnieuw kunt gebruiken. Als u een favoriete bestemming wilt openen, gaat u naar het menu Bestemmingen en tikt u op Mijn favorieten. Het scherm Mijn favorieten bevat uw favoriete groepen.
Naar een locatie zoeken Groepen favorieten U kunt op de knop Acties tikken in het scherm Mijn favorieten om groepen toe te voegen, te bewerken of te verwijderen, zoals hieronder is beschreven. Groep toevoegen Als u op deze knop tikt, wordt het scherm Groep Favorieten geopend. Typ de groepsnaam en selecteer een pictogram om de groep aan te duiden, zoals hieronder wordt getoond.
Naar een locatie zoeken Opmerkingen: De meldingen die u voor favorieten instelt, zijn van invloed op alle groepen met favorieten. Stel voor de tweede melding een kleinere afstand in dan voor de eerste melding. U stelt meldingen in voor een groep en niet voor een afzonderlijke locatie. U kunt natuurlijk altijd een groep maken met slechts één locatie. U kunt de meldingen voor alle groepen uitschakelen door de instelling voor de eerste melding uit te zetten.
Naar een locatie zoeken Nuttige plaatsen (POI) De lijst POI bevat honderden interessante of nuttige plaatsen die zijn ingedeeld in eenvoudig te doorzoeken categorieën. U kunt bijvoorbeeld via Destinator een supermarkt, een hotel, een restaurant of een benzinestation vinden. In het menu Bestemmingen tikt u op de knop Nuttige plaatsen. Het POI-scherm wordt geopend. U kunt een categorie vinden door te tikken op de knop Toetsenbord tonen/verbergen en tekst in te voeren in het veld POI-categorie.
Naar een locatie zoeken Veel categorieën bevatten subcategorieën zodat u over nog meer keuzes beschikt. De categorie 'benzinestation' kan bijvoorbeeld allerlei subcategorieën hebben die elk een merknaam vertegenwoordigen. Hetzelfde geldt voor hotels. Restaurants kunnen subcategorieën hebben die de verschillende soorten voedsel voorstellen, zoals Mexicaans, Italiaans en Frans.
Naar een locatie zoeken Sorteren op naam of Sorteren op afstand U kunt de lijst met vermeldingen in de geselecteerde categorie alfabetisch sorteren of op basis van de afstand tot uw huidige locatie. N.B.: in Destinator worden de vermeldingen eerst op afstand weergegeven. Informatie Destinator Met deze knop geeft u de adresgegevens van de locatie weer.
Naar een locatie zoeken Routebeheer Tik in het menu Opties op de knop Routebeheer om de routenavigatiefuncties van Destinator weer te geven, die hieronder worden beschreven. Gedetailleerde lijst Wanneer u het scherm Detailweergave opent door te klikken op de Beschrijvingsbalk in de hoofdpagina, verandert de Detailweergavelijst terwijl u langs de route navigeert.
Naar een locatie zoeken Route-info of Route annuleren Met de knop Route-info krijgt u een overzicht van de complete route in het scherm Kaartbeheer, met de totale rij-afstand tot aan de bestemming, de geschatte reistijd en het volledige adres van de bestemming. Met de knop Route annuleren in het menu Bestemmingen breekt u de huidige navigatie af en wordt de route gewist. Dit is alleen mogelijk als u een bestemming hebt opgegeven.
Naar een locatie zoeken Groep verwijderen Selecteer een groep en tik op deze knop om de groep te verwijderen uit het scherm Wegen vermijden. De wegen in deze groep worden ook verwijderd. Als u een groepsroute selecteert, tikt u op Toestaan in de groep op te nemen of uit te sluiten. of Vermijden om alle wegen er i d eglocaties Als u op de standaardgroep tikt of op een groep voor Wegen vermijden, wordt het groepsscherm geopend en kunt u de wegen selecteren die u wilt vermijden.
Naar een locatie zoeken Route afspelen Met de functie kunt u uw route opnemen terwijl u rijdt om deze later op het kaartscherm af te spelen. Tik in het menu Routebeheer op de knop Route afspelen. Als u een route wilt opnemen, tikt u op de knop Opnem. in het scherm Route afspelen. Het kaartscherm wordt geopend en u kunt naar de geselecteerde bestemming navigeren. Als u de opname wilt stoppen, gaat u terug naar het scherm Route afspelen en tikt u op de knop Stoppen.
Naar een locatie zoeken Kaartbeheer Tik in het menu Opties op de knop Kaartbeheer om de kaartnavigatiefuncties van Destinator weer te geven, die hieronder worden beschreven. Kaart selecteren Met deze functie vervangt u de huidige kaart door een andere kaart die u hebt opgeslagen op de SD-geheugenkaart. Tik op de knop Kaart selecteren als u wilt zien welke kaarten op de SD-geheugenkaart zijn opgeslagen. Het scherm Kaart selecteren geeft de kaartdetails en de versienummers weer.
Naar een locatie zoeken Maateenheden Tik op de knop Maateenheden om aan te geven welk maatsysteem u wilt gebruiken. U kunt kiezen uit: o Mijlen/yards o Mijlen, één tiende mijl (VS) o Kilometers/meters Kaartinstellingen Tik om de knop Kaartinstellingen als u het kaartscherm wilt aanpassen zoals in de onderstaande afbeelding. De volgende kaartinstellingen zijn beschikbaar: Kaartrichting Richting boven: met deze optie is de kaart zo geplaatst dat de richting altijd naar boven gaat.
Naar een locatie zoeken Afbeelding 29 - Reizen via meerdere routes In het scherm Tonen op kaart beschikt u over de volgende routetypen: sneller en korter. Kies Korter (standaardwaarde) om een route te berekenen met een kortere fysieke afstand tussen de huidige locatie en de geselecteerde bestemming. Als u op Ga tikt wordt automatisch de snelste route berekend. o tegroe en de ini ren Een routegroep bestaat uit een reeks stops. Tik in het scherm Reisplanner op de knop Acties en tik op Groep toevoegen.
Naar een locatie zoeken ssensto s instellen U kunt tussenstops instellen door de routegroep te selecteren en op de knop Volgende te tikken. Tik in het scherm Tussenstops op Acties om een bestemming toe te voegen of te verwijderen of om de naam te wijzigen. Voeg een tussenstop toe via Adres, POI, Mijn favorieten of Recente locaties. Selecteer een van deze opties, geef een locatie op en klik op OK. Het scherm Tussenstop toevoegen wordt geopend.
Naar een locatie zoeken Tussenstop verwijderen Hiermee verwijdert u een geselecteerde tussenstop. Route optimaliseren De route wordt gemaakt op basis van de reeks ingevoerde tussenstops. Dit is mogelijk niet de meest efficiënte route. Klik op Route optimaliseren om de volgorde van de stops te wijzigen en de meest efficiënte route te maken. Informatie Met deze knop geeft u de adresgegevens van de locatie weer.
4 - Instellingen Aanwijzingen U kunt bepalen welke typen gesproken en visuele meldingen u wilt ontvangen tijdens het navigeren. Tik in het menu Instellingen op de knop Aanwijzingen. Het scherm Aanwijzingen wordt geopend. Gesproken aanwijzingen Snelheidswaarschuwi ng Waarschuwt u wanneer uw auto de snelheidslimiet overschrijdt. Deze aanwijzing is standaard uitgeschakeld. Route opn. berekenen Wordt geactiveerd wanneer een nieuwe route wordt berekend. Deze aanwijzing is standaard uitgeschakeld.
Instellingen Snelheid: de bewegingssnelheid in kilometers of mijlen per uur. Hoogte: de hoogte boven zeeniveau. Taalinstellingen Met de knop Spraak selecteert u de taal voor het aankondigen van de reisaanwijzingen en routebeschrijvingen.
