Symptom Potential cause Remedies
Fixture does not
respond to DMX
control.
Incorrect DMX
addressing.
Fault on DMX link due
to damaged connector
or cable, or interference
from proximity to a high-
voltage installation.
Ensure that fixture’s DMX
address matches address
set on DMX control device.
Check that fixture’s DMX
LED is on, and if not, check
all cables and connections
on the DMX link.
Check that DMX link is
terminated.
Check that all devices on
the DMX link use standard
DMX polarity.
Try to control the fixture
with another DMX control
device.
Move or shield link if it is
close to an unshielded
high-voltage installation.
