Troubleshooting
This section describes a few common problems that may occur during
operation and provides some suggestions for easy troubleshooting:
Symptom Potential cause Remedies
No light from fixture,
or fans not working.
Power supply issue,
such as blown fuse,
faulty connector or
damaged cable.
Ensure that mains supply is
connected and supplying
power to fixture.
Ensure that fixture’s power
on LED is lit.
Check all power
connections and cables.
Replace fixture fuse.
Fixture does not
respond correctly to
DMX control.
Fault on DMX link, or
incorrect DMX
addressing, or
potential interference
from proximity to a high
voltage installation.
Fixture fault
Check that fixture DMX
LED is on. If not, check all
cables and connections on
DMX link.
Ensure that DMX link is
terminated.
Check that all devices on
DMX link use standard
DMX polarity.
Ensure that fixture is set to
correct DMX address, one
that matches address set
on DMX control device.
Try to control fixture with
another DMX control
device.
Move fixture and DMX link
if close to an unshielded
high-voltage installation.
