Before Connecting the Dynamo
Martinlogan's engineering and design team developed
the Dynamo 1 OOOW
and Dynamo 700W subwo ofers
for easy setup and
system integratio n. Before beginning
to connect your subwoofer, please review the controls
discu
sse d in the last sec ti on. An understanding of th ese
will help speed you along as you co nn ect and integrate
your subwoofer w
ith your system. All signal connections
are done on the rear connections panel of the subw
oo f er-
Make certain that all of your connecti ons are tight.
WARNING! Turn yo ur subwoofer to 'Off'
before making or breaking any signal con-
nections!
2-Channel Mode
Thi s setup is recommended if yo ur su bw oo fer will be use d
in a 2-channel system with ma in speake rs play ing fu ll
range. When a signal is connected via left/right inpu ts
and the crossover switch is set to 'V ariable (L&R In), the
s
ubw oofer's internal low pa ss filter is ac tiv e.
If yo u w ill be using yo ur sys tem for bo th 2-cha nn el and
multi-channel listening

the ne xt page . So me modern re ce iv er s and proce sso rs
allow u se rs to route left and right channel low-frequ en -
cy info rm a ti on, in ad dition to di sc rete LF E info rm at ion,
through
th e L FE output.
Signal Connection {see figure 2):
Co nn ect th e le ft and ri g ht outputs of yo ur preamplifier
to
the left and ri g ht inputs using quality R CA interco n-
nects. If yo ur preamplifier o nl y has one set of o ut puts
yo u m ay need to ob ta in Y ada pters fr om yo ur dealer.
Recommended Control SeHings {see figure 3):
