The Comfort Meter provides indications of temperature and
humidity. If temperature and humidity are maintained to keep
the hands cross point inside the centre polygon a normal
comfort state is also indicated.
1. If the humidity indicator should become inactive due to
prolonged exposure to low humidity (%RH), the active
sensing membrane will require intervention to re-activate.
2. To re-activate the membrane place the unit back face down
on a damp cloth towel for about 3 to 4 hours after which
the unit should be reading 100% RH.
3. If there is a reading error insert a small instrument
screwdriver into the back plate hole as shown on Figure
overleaf and slowly rotate until the instrument reads
100%RH.
4. In the unlikely event the thermometer should become
inaccurate, place the unit in close proximity to a
comparison instrument and in draft free conditions and
leave for about 30 minutes to stabilise.

1. Only fit a new AA 1.5 volt battery that should last at
least one year.
2. Fit battery aligned with the polarity icon in the battery
compartment and as shown overleaf.
3. Never allow the clock to remain stopped for long with a
run
down battery. The battery will leak and damage the
quartz mechanism.
4. For Quartz clock lightly press and turn the ½” diameter
serrated black disc to alter the time.
5. For Moonphase clock lightly press and turn the ½”
diameter serrated black disc to alter the setting of the
indicator hand to align with the current moon state as
obtained from a calendar or other on-line source.
To set your Time & Tide clock:
1. Adjust the hour and minute hands to your correct local
time using the adjusment wheel on the back of the clock
above the battery compartment.
2. Use the Tide Time set wheel to align the BLUE tide
hand according to your local tide information. Engage a
small screw driver or rod with ribs on moulded wheel below
the battery compartment to rotate
the settitng wheel. This will move
the blue tide hand around the
Tide Dial sector
3. For best results set the Tide
hand to ”high tide” during a full
moon or new moon phase.

If you intend to use your Barometer at an altitude above 100ft
above sea level it is necessary to adjust the mechanism by
means of the rear brass slotted screw.
1. Check with Local Weather Bureau or TV forecast service to
find the barometric pressure - ‘Day’s Reading’ for your area.
This will be given in either Inches of Mercury (Hg), Kilopascals
(KPa) or Millibars (Mbs). KPa and Mbs are numerically the
same.
2. Using a small screwdriver rotate the brass set screw in small
increments until the black hand is registering the same Day’s
Reading value you have obtained in #1 above.
3. Your Barometer will now be indicating a ‘Corrected to Sea
Level’ pressure. It is Standard International procedure to refer-
ence all pressures as if they were at sea level.
4. Now follow the TREND instructions printed at the bottom

DIRECTIONS FOR CARE
Simple guidelines for care and maintenance:
1. Take great care of your new instruments. A little
shine and
polish will ensure a lifetime of beautiful
use.
2. Never expose your instrument to excessive or
prolonged snow, water or direct sunlight.
3. Clean your product by wiping it with a slightly damp
cloth and then polish with the microfiber cloth
supplied.
4. Further information is available at Master-
Mariner.com
5. If you have purchased our Windlass Gift Set you will
see there is a blue ring in the sidewall separating the
front bezel from the rear case. It should not be
assumed that the product can be taken apart at this
point. Any attempt to do so will break adhesive
seals and invalidate your warranty.
