1 1/2 cups our
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
4 eggs
2 teaspoons pure orange extract
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
Orange Cream Cheese Frosting, recipe follows
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9” x 13” pan.
Combine, in the following order, butter, eggs, orange extract, orange
zest, sugar, salt, and our in the Blender Jar. Press the CAKE button,
blender will stop when program has nished. Pour batter in prepared
pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove and allow
to cool. Pierce entire cake with a fork.
1 – 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1 box powdered sugar
2 tablespoons orange zest
2 tablespoons orange juice
In a large bowl, whip the butter and cream cheese with electric mixer.
Gradually beat in the powdered sugar until it is well combined and
smooth. Beat in the orange zest and juice. Spread over cake. Serves
about 20 – 24.
