ASSEMBLY Contents Sander, dust-collection box, dust extraction port, punch plate, 3pc sandpaper and operator’s manual ATTACHING A SANDING SHEET (FIG. 1) FIG. 1 NOTICE: Do not use the same sanding sheet for wood and metal. Metal particles become embedded in the sanding sheet and will scour a wooden surface. NOTICE: Take care to regularly clean out the dust build up on the base underneath the sanding sheet and do not to allow the sanding sheet wear completely down before replacing it.
ASSEMBLY Cleaning the dust collection box and the filter (Fig. 3-Fig. 6) The tool collects sanding dust in the box supplied with your sander. For maximum efficiency, the dust collection box should be cleaned frequently during operation. WARNING: Your tool is equipped with a dust collection box. Clean and empty it frequently after completion of sanding and before storing the sander. 1. Unplug the sander. 2. To remove the dust collection box, simply pull it away from the tool (see Fig. 3). 4.
OPERATION SELECTING THE CORRECT GRADE OF SANDPAPER POWER-ON INDICATOR LIGHT (Fig. 7) FIG. 7 Power-On indicator Different grades of sandpaper can be purchased from the store where you purchased the tool. Use a coarse grit to sand down rough finishes, medium grit to smooth the work and fine grit to finish off. It is best to make a trial run on a scrap piece of material to determine the optimum grades of sanding sheet for a particular job. SANDING The tool has a “POWER-ON INDICATOR” red light.
