ASSEMBLY
TO ATTACH BATTERY PACK
(FIG. 1)
1. Lock the variable-speed trigger switch
on the drill/driver by placing the
direction-of-rotation selector in the
center position.
2. Align the ribs on the battery pack with
the grooves of the drill/driver, and then
attach the battery pack to the drill/
driver.
NOTICE: Make sure the latch on the
battery pack snaps into place and the
battery pack is secured to the drill/driver
before operation.

TO DETACH BATTERY PACK

1. Lock the variable-speed trigger switch
on the drill/driver by placing the
direction-of-rotation selector in the
center position.
2. Depress the battery-release buttons,
located on the both sides of the battery
pack, to release the battery pack.
3. Pull the battery pack out and remove it
from the tool.
INSTALLING BITS (FIG. 2)
WARNING:
Disconnect battery
pack from tool before any assembly,
adjustments or changing accessories.
Such preventive safety measures reduce
the risk of starting the tool accidentally.
1. Lock the variable-speed trigger switch
on the drill/driver by placing the
direction-of-rotation selector in the
center position.
2. Rotate the chuck sleeve
counterclockwise viewing from chuck
end, and open the chuck to the
approximate drill bit diameter.
3. Insert a clean bit up to the drill-bit utes
for small bits, or as far as it will go for
large bits.
4. Close the chuck by rotating the chuck
sleeve clockwise and securely tighten it
by hand.
WARNING:
Do not use the power
of the drill while grasping the chuck to
loosen or tighten the bit. A friction burn
or hand injury is possible if attempting to
grasp the spinning chuck.
