SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
7. Avoid accidental starting. Be sure the
forward/reverse switch is in the off position
before inserting battery pack. Carrying
appliances with your nger on the switch or
inserting the battery pack into an appliance
with the switch on invites accidents.
8. Remove battery pack before changing
accessories. Accidental starting may occur
because battery appliances with a battery
inserted are in the operative condition.
9. Do not use dull or damaged bits and
accessories. When installing an accessory,
insert the shank of the bit well within the
chuck. Be sure the chuck has locked onto
the bit correctly.
WARNING:
Some dust created by
power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling
and other construction activities contains
chemicals known to the state of California
to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm. Some examples of
these chemicals are:
Lead from lead-based paints
Crystalline silica from bricks and
cement and other masonry products,
and
Arsenic and chromium from chemically-
treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies,
depending on how often you do this type
of work. To reduce your exposure to these
chemical: work in a well ventilated area,
and work with approved safety equipment,
such as those dust masks that are specially
designed to lter out microscopic particles.
