To remove the chuck:
1. Remove the battery.
2. Lock the trigger switch by placing the
direction of rotation selector in the
center (OFF) position.
3. Open the chuck jaws.
4. Use a Philips screwdriver (available
separately) to remove the chuck screw
by turning it clockwise.
NOTICE: The screw has left hand threads.
5. Insert the hex key in chuck and tighten
the chuck jaws securely. Tap sharply
with a mallet in a counterclockwise
direction. This will loosen the chuck on
the spindle. It can now be unscrewed by
hand.
TROUBLESHOOTING

MAINTENANCE
To retighten a loose chuck
The chuck may become loose on the spindle
and develop a wobble. Periodically check
the chuck screw for tightness.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Lock the trigger switch by placing the
direction of rotation selector in center
position.
3. Open the chuck jaws.
4. Insert the hex key into the chuck and
tighten the chuck jaws securely. Tap
the hex key sharply with a mallet in a
clockwise direction. This will tighten the
chuck on the spindle.
5. Open the chuck jaws and remove the
hex key.
6. Tighten the chuck screw.
NOTICE: The chuck screw has left hand
threads.
