ASSEMBLY TOOL-LESS BLADE CHANGE SYSTEM The saw has a blade clamp design that does not require the use of a tool (blade wrench) when installing or removing the blade. Pivoting the blade clamp lever to install or remove the saw blade. VARIABLE-SPEED TRIGGER SWITCH The variable-speed trigger switch delivers higher speed with increased trigger pressure and lower speed with decreased trigger pressure.

Align the raised rib on the battery pack with the grooves on the bottom of the saw, and then attach the battery pack to the saw. OPERATION BASE SHOE ADJUSTMENT (FIG.5) T FIG. 5 OU Your reciprocating saw has a built-in LED work light for illuminating the cutting area. To activate the LED work light, squeeze the lock-off button and depress the trigger switch. The light will automatically turn off within 10 seconds after releasing the trigger. IN BLADE SELECTION In order to obtain the best performance from the saw, it is important to select the correct blade for the particular application and type of material to be cut.
OPERATION WARNING: Before attach the battery pack on the tool, always check to determine that the switch performs properly and returns to the “OFF” position when released. WARNING: Hold the tool only by the plastic handle and the insulated grip area to help prevent electrical shock. When sawing into walls or floors you may encounter electrical wiring. Sawing into a “live” wire will cause electric shock. 1. R emove the battery pack from the saw. 2. Make sure that the workpiece is firmly clamped. 3.
OPERATION WARNING: Do not plunge cut into metal surfaces. 1. I nsert the blade into the tool. If the blade inserted with the teeth facing downward, hold the tool as shown in Column A, resting the edge of the shoe on the workpiece. 2. If you inserted the blade with the teeth facing upward, hold the tool as shown in Column B, resting the edge of the shoe on the workpiece as shown. 3.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operations, or when blowing dust. If operation is dusty, also wear a dust mask. It has been found that electric tools are subject to accelerated wear and possible premature failure when they are used to work on fiber glass boats and sports cars, wallboard, spackling compounds or plaster.
MAINTENANCE ADJUST THE LOCKING SCREWS OF THE BASE SHOE (FIG.8) FIG. 8 Base shoe After using the tool for a period of time, if the base shoe is loosen during the operation even if you pivot the shoe-release lever counterclockwise to secure the shoe, you can rotate the hex wrench counterclockwise to fully tighten two locking screws of the base shoe.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION No battery pack attached. Attach a battery pack. Battery pack is exhausted. Charge the battery pack. Blade cannot be removed. Saw dust in the slot. Clean the clamp slot with brush. Cutting is difficult. Saw is damaged. Replace the saw. The base shoe is loose during the operation. Two locking screws of the base shoe are not fully tightened. Fully tighten two locking screws. Refer to the “MAINTENANCE” part for more information. The saw does not work.
