Magnetic Encoding
The Magnetic Encoder is an optional module for the Espresso and Moca products that allows the encoding
of magnetic cards.
The following modules are available:
MAG ENCODER ISO
It allows you to perform the encoding magnetic in ISO format Code PR000023
MAG ENCODER JIS2
It allows you to perform the magnetic encoding format JIS2 (Japan) Code PR000018
Install the module according to the instructions contained in the package.
Configuration and Test
Warning: Before proceeding with the configuration of the module make sure the printer is turned on and
connected to your computer via USB.
Configuration
To print using the Magnetic Encoder, enable these modules on the printer so that the printer driver can use
them correctly.
1)
Set the Coercitivity values from High, Low.
2)
Set the "Standard" encoding preferences. With this drop - down menu is possible to set which standard
to use for encoding the cards. These are the possible choices: ISO (Default) - ISO 7811 Standard or JIS-
2 - Japanese JISB9561-1979 Standard.

Tracks (ISO Standard), With these commands, for every single track, is possible enable / disable the
track and make the ISO Standard choice.
Track 1, Track 2, Track 3: with the selection boxes is possible enable/disable the tracks, with the drop -
down box is possible choose the standard ISO. The possible choices of Standard ISO in the drop -down
menu are:
