6 Edit the file C:\autoexec.bat to include the following lines. Adding these
commands to
C:\autoexec.bat directs the system to execute the
autoexec.bat file located in C:\work.
cd C:\work
autoexec
Note Do not confuse C:\work\autoexec.bat with C:\autoexec.bat. The file
C:\work\autoexec.bat includes the command xpcboot.com to start the xPC
Target kernel and stand-alone application. The file
C:\autoexec.bat includes
the files you want the system to execute when the system starts up.
7 Remove the 3.5 inch disk, and then, on the target PC, press the Reset
button.
The sequence of calls during the boot process is
a C:\autoexec.bat
b C:\work\autoexec.bat
c C:\work\xpcboot.com
d C:\work\<application>.rtb
8 On the target PC keyboard, press the spacebar.
A command line opens on the target PC screen.
