Installation & Assembly

Application
Recommended areas for usage include kitchen backsplashes, accent walls, shower and tub
surrounds. Glass Mosaic cannot be installed on the floor because it may be fractured when it
is exposed to extreme weights and is vulnerable to scratching. Mosaic sheets can be used in
various techniques to enhance your project:
Full sheet for large areas
Cutting the sheets into strips to create a border effect
Cutting the sheet into different size (2”X3”, 3”X3”, or 4”X4”) to use as an insert
Installation and care recommendations
Spacing: to ensure a consistent grout joint, use a spacer the same size as the grout joint in
the mosaic, usually 1/8”.
Grout: after 24 hours, mix and apply grout following the manufacturer’s instructions. Use
unsanded grout only on all glass tiles to prevent scratching. Clean all excess grout
immediately with a damp sponge. After 12 hours, polish off any remaining grout haze with a
dry cloth or towel.
Cutting: a wet saw with a diamond blade designed to cut glass is recommended. Cut the
glass mosaic with the meshed side up. For fine cuts, if the glass is too small for the wet
saw, use glass nippers.
Cleaning: Use a soft, clean cloth with warm water or a non-abrasive acid-free household
cleaner.
