Preparing to Scan in Mac
1. To perform a simple scan place an object on the scanner bed and, from the Home
screen, click on either Auto Scan or Manual Scan.
Auto Scan is an automatic setting where
the software detects the ideal camera
exposure and the amount the bed moves
as it rotates.
Manual Scan allows users to customize
settings. Use when scanning objects that
have contrasting colors, or objects that are
complex in shape or when scanning in
complex lighting conditions.
To determine if whether an object has contrasting colors for scanning, use the
following chart:
