XD OnDemand Server provides redistribution of both live streaming and multimedia based content (audio, video,
PDFs, files, etc.) to an end user for demand-specific functions. It features automatic dynamic generation of a browse-
able content index, based on metadata generated at the XD Host, and offers codec and browser independence.
XD Multicast Server is a playlist-driven server that receives files and re-broadcasts up to 16 IP multicast channels of
streaming MPEG-2 video that can be viewed by any number of multimedia players or hardware playout devices.
Playlists are generated at the head-end by the Playlist Manager.
Windows File Sharing
Selecting the Windows File Sharing sub menu item will open a Windows File Share window, (see Figure 2- 39)
Clicking the Windows File sharing produces the pop-up file share shown in Figure 2- 40, when browsing the receiver
with a Windows™ PC.
