The following fields for each channel can be edited on the XD Client Configuration page:
Edit Field Description
IP Address Enter the multicast IP Address on which XD Client will listen for data from XD Host, in dotted
decimal notation. This address must agree with the Output IP address in the XD Host Setup.
Port Enter the UDP Port on which XD Client will listen for data from XD Host. This port number must
agree with Output Port number in the XD Host Setup.
In Adapter Select choice for source data. Options are localhost, Net1 (eth0), Net2 (eth1) or Satellite (Sat0).
Out Adapter Select the output adapter to be used, (either localhost, eth0, eth1) by the XD Stream Manager
at the head end, as the output interface for the IP Stream (e.g. Audio or Video).
Update Mode Select whether the backlink occurs on a regular or scheduled basis. Using this mode the
backlink will send confirmation, that files were transmitted correctly, to the XD Host. It will also
receive missing packets through the backlink. Select the option required from: Disabled,
Continuous; or Scheduled
Port Enter the UDP port on which the XD Client will listen for data from the Host. Default 1788
Time Specifies the start time for a scheduled update. The first update will occur at this time, with
subsequent updates after the period (in minutes) entered in Interval. Enter the start time in
HH:MM:SS AM/PM format
Interval Enter the period (in minutes) between updates.
Single Packet Retries
Max
Enter the maximum number of times to attempt to recover a lost packet. Min is: 10, max is 5000,
and the default is 360
Drop File After (x)
Missing Packets
Enter the number of file packets which, if missed, will cause the receiver to drop the file and not
try to correct it through the backlink. Min is: 1000, max is 4 000 000, and the default is 400 000
