XD DataMan 
The XD DataMan component in XD Client allows further processing of received files. Complete files may be moved 
from the XD Client’s receive directory and placed in another location on your LAN using either an FTP or a file move 
operation. Alternatively a custom script can be called to allow additional processing of a file. Output throttling is used to 
limit the LAN bandwidth used and after successful completion of the transfer, options exist to allow automatic file and 
directory purging. When the XD DataMan submenu item is selected the XD DataMan page is displayed, shown in 
Figure 2- 43.

The rows in the table are described under the Edit XD DataMan Configuration page where the following fields can be 
edited: 
Edit Field  Description 
Throttle   Allows the maximum transfer rate on your LAN to be set. Max (no throttling) = 0, Min 
(recommended) = 500kb/sec. Default is 20000 kb/sec 
Retry Maximum  Enter the maximum number of retries the receiver makes in attempting to deliver a file. 
Retry Delay  Enter the maximum number of seconds between retries. 
Purge Files  Select Enabled or Disabled to allow or deny files being purged from the receiver after delivery. 
Purge Delay  Enter the delay after which files in the delivery queue, that have been successfully delivered, 
are deleted. 
Directory Cleanup  Select Enabled or Disabled to allow or deny removal of any directory structure established for 
the file transfer. 
Type  Select between Other: one file at a time transfer, or Pinnacle: A proprietary video transfer 
methodology. 
Server Address, User 
Name, Password, 
Type. 
Identifies the default FTP server to be used with files for which no specific FTP settings have 
been defined.
