Tighten Tether
Push fi rmly on the back of
the seat and pull the tether
strap to remove all slack and
create tension on the strap.
Replace Headrest Pad
Fasten all the headrest pad
fasteners.

Check Belt Tightness
Hold child restraint at the belt
path with your weaker hand.
Push and pull from side to
side.
It should not move more than
2.5 cm (1 in.).
If it moves more than 2.5 cm (1 in.), you can try:
A. Reinstalling the child restraint.
B. Changing to a different seating location.
C. Switching to lower anchor/UAS belt installation if lower/UAS
anchors are available in your vehicle.

When used correctly, the
AutoLock will lock the vehicle
belt in place.
After the seat has been
installed, if your car has a
switchable retractor, you may
also use it to lock the belt.
Review pages 19-22 and your
vehicle owner’s manual to
determine how to lock the belt
with the retractor.
Check the tightness of the
install often to make sure it has
not loosened.

Check your child’s fi t often
and make any needed
adjustments to the car seat
as they grow.
Adjust the headrest/harness
back to the correct position
for your child. See page 9.
