CINEMA 4D R11 Quickstart – Dynamics
4. Quick Tutorial – Rigid Bodies
With just a few clicks of the mouse we will now create a scene in which several primitives will collide with each
other. Let’s begin by setting up the necessary objects. In the main menu, click on Plugins / Dynamics / Solver
Object.
In the same menu, create a gravity object and drag it into the solver object. As we
mentioned before, all objects to be affected by the solver object must be a sub-
object of the solver object. If an object is not a sub-object of the solver object will
not be affected by the solver object. Next we need the objects that will collide with
each other. Create a sphere, a cube and a plane (main menu / Objects / Primitive /
Sphere, Cube and Plane). Assign the plane a width of 3000m and a depth of 1000m,
the sphere a radius of 80m. Set the number of segments for all three objects to 7
on each axis.
