RENDERING RENDER MENU 659
You can create settings for a variety of purposes. Perhaps you will create settings with low antialiasing,
no reections and no shadows for preview rendering, called ‘Preview. You might also create settings
with high antialiasing, reections and shadows called Final Rendering’. You can create as many
settings as you like. To choose which settings are active, select the corresponding name from the
Render menu. The check mark will then appear in front of that name.
Delete Render Settings
This command deletes the active render settings (the active settings are indicated by a check mark on
the Render menu). The name of the settings will be removed from the Render menu.
Flush Illumination Caches
If you own the optional Advanced Render module and enable Save Solution on the Global illumination
or Caustics pages, les will be saved in the scene’s ‘Illum’ folder so that subsequent renders can reuse
the data. Choose Flush Illumination Caches to delete these les. The command will also ush cached
shadow maps (render settings, Options page).
Bake Texture
This function lets you render the following to one or more separate image les for selected objects
(they must subsequently be applied manually):
Channel shaders
The previous 3D SLA shaders: Cheen, Danel, etc.
