RENDERING RENDER SETTINGS 679
Name
Enter a name for the settings. This name will appear in the Render menu so that you can switch
between different settings. Choose a name that will distinguish the settings clearly from any other
settings on the Render menu, such as ‘Animation Preview’.
Antialiasing
Sets the antialiasing mode. You’ll nd further antialiasing settings on the Antialiasing page.
Filter
This sets the lter mode for antialiasing. You can also set the lter on the Antialiasing page.
Transparency
None. No Refraction. With Refraction.
None
Transparency and alpha channels will not be rendered.
No Refraction
If you have placed a transparent object inside another object, the inner object
may be black when rendered. To remedy, increase the Ray Depth value on the
Options pages.
Transparent materials will be rendered without refraction. If you are working with alpha channels, use
No Refraction; otherwise, the surfaces will be opaque when rendered.
