Direct wiring instructions for IF fans:
The common (white) wire from the breaker box is connected to the white wire of the fan via a spring nut (wire nut). The
ground (bare copper) wire from the breaker box is connected to the green wire of the fan via a spring nut. The hot
(black) wire from the breaker box is connected to the black wire from the motor via a spring nut.
Thermostat or switch wiring instructions for IF fans:
Follow the above instructions with the common and ground wires. The hot wire from the breaker box will be connected
to one post of the thermostat or switch. The other post of the thermostat or switch will be connected to the black wire
of the motor. The XXFIRESTAT or XXDUOSTAT can be used to control the IF fans. A standard 10 amp wall switch from a
local hardware store can also be used to control the IF fans.
