6 Connections/Transmissions
Merk II can set up connections to other communication partners on their own. They can
also accept incoming calls automatically.
6.1. Automatic Acceptance of Calls
Merk II accepts incoming calls automatically and synchronize themselves with the station
calling corresponding to the configuration.
When a call comes in, the “Connection Setup” mask appears in the display for a short
time. When the connection is made the connection data with respect to the opposite end is
displayed in this mask as a protocol.

If you are just making settings or entries, you can end the display of this mask with . The
mask will however disappear again on its own after a few seconds. Exactly the same
display condition is then regenerated as it was prior to the Connect Report. An editing
procedure in progress will not be discontinued if a connection is set up from outside.
