8.2. Update Device Software
You can update your device software via ISDN, via the RS232 interface or via the Ethernet
interface. If there is a connection to the internet, the current MERK II software can be
downloaded into the device from the Mayah web site direct.
The update process only takes a few minutes, via Ethernet or house network (if present)
only a few seconds.
Afterwards the device boots itself again automatically, and the new software is then
already available.
The result is shown on the display. It can also be recognized (e.g. also by the device
versions without display) by the lighting up of the LED’s:
– ALARM LED flashes: 0 - 33% transmitted
– CONNECT LED flashes: 34 - 66% transmitted
– FRAMED LED flashes: 67 - 100% transmitted
– All LED’s flash: Internal updating after complete transmission
8.2.1. Request of the Current Version Status
You can let the version data of the system components be displayed. To do this you
should proceed as follows:
(a) Via the front panel:
• Select the MISC option in the Start mask (see Figure 4) and press .
• Select VERSIONS and press . A series of system data will then be shown on the
display:

• To end the display, press .
