VENT PIPE SEPARATION INSTALLATION SHOWING USE OF PVC, ABS OR
CPVC PIPE FOR INLET AND OUTLET VENT PIPING:
The inlet and outlet vent pipes must be separated by a mini-
mum distance of 6% inches up to 24 inches maximum. Inlet piping through any type wall.

T Gal. Models) outlet Schedule 40 street elbows are required.
Place the elbow in the required direction on the blower and
using 3 sheet metal screws, attach the elbow.

' 2. If there is to be a vertical run of vent from the blower, the 3"
PVC inlet and the 3" PVC (ABS for 75 Gal. Models) out-
let pipes must be attached to the blower and venting

The 3" PVC, ABS or CPVC Schedule 40 vent plpe can be
run from the water heater through the wall or from the wall to CAULK
the water heater, whichever is most convenient. The vent pipe JOINTS
must extend a minimum ofl/2 through the exterior waU. "-- .I
Extending the vent cap as far as l_ossible from the surface of -'_- _-.... -J
the exterior wall will help minimtze discoloration of the wall. "_"---_. " '-_ J"
Note that the inside flue mounting adapters must be slipped _ --..1_ _
over the vent piping before locating the-pipe through the wall. _"
Before securing the inside and outside collars to the wall, use J "_ _'- "_"

and air tight seal.
