Thisrangehasbeendesignedinaccordancewith therequirementsof
varioussafetyagenciesandcomplieswiththe maximumallowablewood
cabinettemperaturesof194_EIfthis rangeis installedwith cabinets
that havea lowerworkingtemperaturethan194°Ediscoloration.

Placerangeina well lit area.Donotsetrangeoverholesinthefloor or
otherlocationswhereit maybesubjectto strongdrafts.Anyopeningin
the wall behindtherangeandinthefloor underthe rangeshouldbe
sealed.Makesuretheflowof cooling/ventilationair is notobstructed
belowthe range.Note:ArangeshouldNOTbeinstalledoverkitchen
carpeting
riskof rangetip-overexistsif theapplianceisnotinstalledinaccordance
with theprovidedinstallationinstructions.Theproperuseof theANTI-TIPdevice
minimizesthe riskof TIP-OVER.In usingthisdevicethe consumermuststill
observethesafetyprecautionsasstatedin theUSEandCAREMANUALand
avoidusingtheovendoorsasa stepstool.Installationinstructionsareprovided
for woodandcementineitherflooror wall.Anyothertypeof constructionmay
requirespecialinstallationtechniquesas deemednecessaryto provide
adequatefasteningoftheANTI-TIPbracketto theflooror wall.Thebracketmay
be installedto engagetheLEFTor RIGHTrearlevelingfoot. NOTE:Thebracket
providedis designedfor usewith flushmountandnon-flushmountoutlet
receptacles.Installthe bracketwiththe orientationholeinthe longerleg
againstthewall or floorasshownin steps9-12.

Theinstallationof a rangedesignedfor mobilehomeinstallationmustconform
with theManufacturedHomeConstructionandSafetyStandard,Title24CFR,
Part3280(formerlythe FederalStandardfor MobileHomeConstructionand
Safety,Title24 HUD,Part280)or,whensuchstandardisnotapplicable,the
Standardfor ManufacturedHomeInstallations1982(ManufacturedHomeSites,
CommunitiesandSet-Ups),ANSIA225.1-1atestedition,orwith localcodes.
Therangemustbe installedin accordancewith Localand NationalElectric
Code(NEC)ANSI/NFPANo.70-latestedition,or CanadianElectricCodeCSA
STD.C221latest edition.Seeratingplatefor total connectedKWrating.
Yourlocal utility companywill tell youwhetherthe presentelectricservice
to your homeis adequate.It maybe necessaryto increasethe sizeof the
wiring tothe houseand serviceswitchto take careof the electricalload
demandedby the range.The kilowatt ratingfor the rangeis specifiedon
the rating platelocatedonflip-up plate at the rear centerof backguard.
Mostlocal BuildingRegulationsand Codesrequirethat all electricalwiring
bedoneby licensedelectricians.All wiring shouldconformto Localand
NationalElectricalCodes.Thisrangerequiresa single phasethree wire
120/240or a 120/208volt, 60Hz,ACcircuit.Wiringcodesrequirea
separatecircuit berun from the mainentrancepanelto the rangeandthat
it beequippedwith separatedisconnectswitch andfuses,either inthe
mainentrancepanelor in a separateswitch and fusebox.
Somemodelsareshippeddirectfromthefactorywith servicecord
attached.Therearenorangeconnectionsnecessaryonthesemodels.
Just plugintothewall outlet.Onmodelsnotprovidedwith a service
cord,connectionto the powersupplyis necessaryin accordancewith
localcodes.Provisionsfor usingeitherconduitora flexiblepowercord
are provided.Whenusinga powersupplycord,useonlya supplycord
with closedloopterminalsratedeither240volts,40 ampsor 240volts,
50ampsthat is markedfor usewith nominal1-3/8"(34.94ram)
diameterconnectionopeningandmarkedfor ranges.A 4-conductor
cordis to beusedon newbranch-circuitinstallations(1996NEC),
mobilehomes,recreationalvehiclesandwherelocalcodesprohibit
groundingthroughthe neutralconductor.A 3-wireservicemaybeused
whenpermittedby localcodes.Whena powersupplycordis used,a
cordnolongerthan4 feetshouldbe used.
Canada
Thismodelis shippeddirectfromthefactorywith theservicecord
attached.Therearenorangeconnectionsnecessary.
Whenyourrangerequiresserviceor replacementparts,contactyourdealerorauthorizedserviceagency.Pleasegivethecompletemodelandserialnumberof the
rangewhichis locatedonflip-up plateat the rearof upperleft-handcorneror centerof backguard.
