REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (RCTA) (if equipped)

The Rear Cross Trafﬁc Alert (RCTA) is designed to alert the driver of

oncoming trafﬁc when backing out of a parking spot. RCTA is active:

 • Whenyourvehicleisinreverse.

If your vehicle speed is 0 to 7.8 mph (0 to 12.6 km/h).

 WhenBSMsensorsdetectanobjectmovingmorethen2.8to

18.6 mph (4.5 to 29.9 km/h) (vehicle/motorcycle).

RCTA will notify the driver with indicators and sound:

 • RearViewMonitorandoutsidemirrorashingindications.

 • BeepsoundsameasBSM.
