When selecting the installation site, avoid direct sunlight, vibration, dust, hot and cold tem-
peratures and dampness. When setting up the device with other equipment, ensure suf cient
ventilation. Keep a suf cient distance from heat sources. Do not point any strong spotlights or
light sources towards the device. This may lead to overheating (risk of re!).
Heat dissipation from the device must not be obstructed. Never place the device on soft sur-
faces such as a carpet or a bed. Air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as
magazines, table cloths, curtains or similar. This prevents heat dissipation from the device
and may lead to overheating (risk of re!).
Only operate the device on a sturdy surface that is not sensitive to high temperatures.
When setting up the device, make sure that it has a stable footing and place it on a stable under-
ground. Falling off of the device may injure persons.
The device must not be set up in the vicinity of any devices with strong electric or magnetic

Do not drill any holes or screw any additional screws into the device’s casing, since this could
enable contact to dangerous voltages.
Make sure that the connection cables are not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges. Always
install the cables so that no one will trip over them or get caught in them. Risk of injury!
The cables must be of suf cient length. Avoid mechanical strain on the cables. This may dam-
age the cables or the device. There is the risk of a dangerous electric shock.
Due to the great variety of varnishes and polishes of furniture, the device feet might leave vis-
ible marks on the furniture caused by chemical reactions. Therefore, the device should not be
placed on valuable furniture surfaces without suitable protection.
