Troubleshooting
By purchasing this Mc Crypt DJ mixer, you have acquired a state-of-the-art product which operates reliably.
Nevertheless, problems or malfunctions may occur.
We would therefore like to describe how you can eliminate possible malfunctions:
Please observe the safety instructions!
Device does not work after the POWER switch has been switched on:
The mains plug has not been plugged into the mains socket properly.
The mains socket is not supplied with power.
The mixer is turned on but no sound can be heard.
No input signal; check the signal source.
Wrong input selected; select proper input.
Input level wrongly adjusted; adjust level as described under „Volume control“.
No signal can be heard although the level indicator shows a signal
Downstream device (amplifier) not switched on or set incorrectly.
The output is not connected properly or not connected at all.
There is a humming sound.
The record-player earth lines are not connected to the ground screw SIGNAL GND (21).
There is a ground loop between the connected devices. Connect the signal ground with special ground-insulated
cables.
A channel does not work.
A connection cable has come off.
The balance control on the amplifier is set incorrectly.
The sound is distorted.
The level on the mixer is set incorrectly or the connected amplifier is overmodulated.
The connected device does not meet the requirements for the connection type or is not equipped with the required
connections.
The volume on the connected amplifier is too high.
Repairs other than those described above should only be carried out by an authorised
specialist.
