The Send To tab lets you add, remove, edit, and select pr o perties for the
commands that appear on the Fi le > Send To menu.T he Send To menu is also
sometimes availablein t he context-sensiti ve pop-up menu that appears when
youRight-clickthemousebutton,suchaswhenyoupointtoaniconinMy
Com puter. Commands on the Send To me nu specify locations where you
wanttosendthefilesyou’veselectedinad riveorvolumew indowthatisopen
inside My Computer or Windows Explorer. For example, you might add an
app lication or fol der to the Send To menu.
The S end To options are:
•ClickAdd to add a new pro gram to the File > Se nd To menu, availa b le in
a drive window you open in My C omput er.
Select a program and click Remove to remove it f rom the File > Send To
menu.
Select a program and c lick Edit to change the program’s name in the Send
ToL ocationslist,whichishowthecorrespondingcomman dwillappearin
the Send To menu.
Select a program and click Properties to view its Properties sheet.
Context Menu tab
The Context Menu tab l ets you d isable, enable or delete commands in the top
section of the Windows Context menu. You cannot remove the Open, Edit or
Print commands,and you cannot add anycommandstothe topsection ofthe
Context menu .
The Context menu is the pop-up m enu that appears when you right-click a n
object or the e mpty portion of a wi ndow. The Context menu for a file usually
consists of several sections containing commands, with sections divided by a
horizontalseparator bar. The first command in the top section is generally
Open,wheretheboldtypeindicatesthedefaultchoice.Thedefaultisthe
command performed when you double-click the file icon. There are usually
other Contextmenu commandsinthe firstsection,suchasE dit,Print, Debug,
Quick View and so on.
Disabling or enabling a Context Menu handler
To disable a particularC ontext menu handler,ex pand itsn ode by clicking the
Plus sign or double-cli cking the ic on.The child n odes displa y e d ind icate the
Context menu com m ands performed by that particular C ontext menu
handler. Some Context menu handlers perform o nly one command, whereas
others perform several.
