In most cases, each C on text menu comma nd has a check box beside it. By
selecting or deselecting the check box, yo u can enable or disable eac h
command perfo rm e d by a Context menu handler.
Some Context m enu commands have a folder icon next to them, instead of a
check box. This is the case when the same Context menu handler is used to
perform the same Context menu command on more than one file type. In this
case,expandthen odetorevealthevariousfiletypesthat the optionapp liesto
and select or deselect them individually.
To view or disable all the Context menu commands for a particular file type
irres p ective of which cont e xt menu handler perfo rms them, click the By File
Type radio button.
Removing a Context Menu command
In addition to disabling and enabling Context menu commands, E Z Setup
allows them to be permanently r em oved from the Windows Registry.
NOTE: Permanently deleting Context menu commands is not
recommended unless you are positive that you will neveruse them. A
warning m es sage appears to let you c o nfirm t hese deletions before they
happen.
You can remove a Context menu command either by clicking the Remove
button or by right-clicking the command and choosing Remove from the
EZSetup Context menu.
NOTE: EZSetup Context menus cannot be modified by EZSetup.
After you remove a Context menu command in this way, it can only be
restor e d by the ap plication that i nserted the c ommand in t he Context menu
originally (or by hacking at the Windows Registry). On the other hand, you
can easily restore co mmands whose c heck boxes you deselect using EZSetup.
Launch Pad
LaunchPadisasimpleandefficientwayforyoutoaccessprograms,filesand
folders without either cluttering up your desktop with num erous icons, or
wading through the Start and Program menus to locate and open the
applications yo u want t o wo rk with.
You can drag application, document and folder icons into Launch Pad, and
rearrange or delete them in the Launch Pad window. A Launch Pad w indow
canc ontainany icon(s u ch asanapplication,docu mentorf oldericon)thatyou
want to open with a single mouse click.
