Starting Launch Pad

empty Launch Pad appears, w hich is a small window.
Adding, updating, and removing icons
You can add icons to Launch Pad by dragging an app lication icon, fo lde r or
file fromitslocationon thedesktop,WindowsExplorer,orMyComputer into
Launch Pad. O r you can right-click an empty area in theL aunch Pad window
and use the N ew comman d to create a new icon.
To remove a n icon, Righ t-click th e icon and choose the Remo ve command
from the Launch Pad menu.
Manipulating the Launch Pad window
You can interactively customize a L aunch Pad w indow by resizing it or its
icon s, rea rranging icons in Launch Pad by dragging them,
docking/undocking Lau nch Pad, and having Launc h Pad hideuntil you need
it.
Hiding and showing Launch Pad
YoucanhideLaunch Padandrestoreittoyourdesktopintwo differentways.
IfyouwanttouseLaunchPadtolaunchanapplicationandthenhaveLaunch
Pad disappear from your desktop, Right-click in the Launch Pad and c hoose
Hide LaunchPad from the Glob al menu.
To show Launch Pad,double-clickthe LaunchP ad icon in the taskbar icon
tray. Once you have started an application by double-clicking it, Launch Pad
is hi dden again.
The Enable Auto Hide command lets you hide a docked Launch Pad. Once
auto hidden, Launch Pad reappears if you point to the edge of the desktop. It
hide s again if you move the po inter away from the edge.
To restoreLaunch Padpermanently, Right-click andchoose the D isable Auto
Hide command from the Global menu.
Docking & undocking Launch Pad
Docking locks Launch Pad to the nearest edge of your desktop, where it will
remain as an upper most Window (just like your taskbar).
