McAfee Utilities
Create archive–lets you create zip archives in any directories and specify
which files you want to zip and place in these archives.
Add files to existing archive–lets you zip files and place them i n ex isting
archives.
Build self-extracting a rchive letsyouconvertanexistingarchive,
containing one o r m ore zipped files, into an un zipping program that can
decompress the files without the use of McAfee Zip Manager or another
unzip program.
Selecting McAfee Zip Manager properties
You can specify the properties that you want McAfee Zip Manager to have.
The properties that you s elect apply to both ZipMan Wizard and ad vanced
McAfeeZipManager,but you canoverridesome ofthesepropertiesifyouare
working in advanced McAfee Zip Manager.
Setting Explorer and startup options
The General tab in the McAfee Zip Manager Properties sheet offers the
following options:
Make default association–allows you to have McAfee Zip Mana ger as
your de f ault zip utility. If McAfee Zip Man ager is your default, you can
unzip zipped files in Windows Explorer, simply by double-cl icking them.
AddtoSendTomenu– ad ds McAfee Zip Manager t o the Wind ows Send
To menu. You can Right-click af ile in Windows Explorer and use the Send
To > ZipMan command to send the file to McAfee Zip Manager.
Install Des ktop Icon–places a ZipMan icon on the d esktop, allowing you
to open McAfee Zip Manager from your d esktop, and drag files into the
ZipMa n icon for zip file management.
Setting compression and source location options
The Zip ta b in the McAfee Zip Manager Properties sheet offers these options:
