Using QuickClean
Use the QuickClean wizard t o perform any of the following actions to keep
your comp ut er free of unused files and inv a lid shortcuts:
• Remove unused files in the cache folder of your Internet browser.
• Remove any temporary files in folders that are used by applications and
Windows.
• Clean up shortcuts, Registry entries, and remove references in operating
system files tha t are not connected to any applica tion.
• Empty the Recycle Bin.
When you click QuickClean i n the U nInstaller window, the QuickClean
wizard appears. You select the kind of cleaner action yo u want it to perform
and then click Next to run the clea nup.
You ca n also schedule Qu ickClean to ru n auto matically, as described in the
following section.
To remove more files o f differe nt kinds and free a specific amo u nt of disk
space, use the SpaceMaker w izard.
How do I set up QuickClean to run automatically?
You canr un QuickClean whenever you need it,or you can set up Q uickCl ean
to get rid of unnecessary files and junkon your computer at regular intervals
while you w or k.
To set up QuickClean:
1. ClickSettingson theOptionsmenuin themainUnInstallerwindowand
select the QuickClean tab.
Make sure that t he QuickClean options are set t he way you want t hem.
The defa u lts in the QuickClean page of the Optio ns dialog b ox specif y
wha t kind of files a nd settings can be remov e d. You c an also click
Schedule to specify the sc he dule f or r unning Qu ickClean automatically.
2. Click QuickClean in the main UnInstaller window and run the wizar d
manually o nce to see the defa ult settings in action.
