Afte r the Archive wizard creates the compressed archive file, it removes the
application from the folder whe re it was installed, but leaves the s hortcuts to
the application in pl ace. When you click a shortcut to the application in the
Windows Start menu Programs list,or on yourWindows d esktop, taskbar, or
elsewhere, a message box appears, explaining that UnInstaller has archived
the application and asking if you would like to restore it.
NOTE: You can also use the Restore w izard t o restore archived
applications.
Choose the Archive wizard if you:
Want to store useful appli cations that you rarely use.
If yo u have old games o r specialized programs, archive them to free disk
space, but keep the shortcuts an d other entry points available from your
desktop.UnInstaller keeps track of applications that you have archived.
Their shortcutsand Start menu Programs listentriesremain inplace. Ifyou
click a sho rt cut or Programs list entry for an archived application, you can
choose whether to r estore the application.

Ifyou are not sure that you want toget rid of anapplication entirely,
instead of using the Remove wizard and creating a backup file,use the
Archive wizard and retain information.
Want to fr ee space o n your computer by removing an application
temporarily.
If yo u need disk space to perform a task that requires a lar ge am ount of
temporary space, for example, you can archive applications to free the
space. Th en you can quickly r estore the applications when you no longer
need their disk space.
Using Move
Use the Move w izard to c opy an application to a n ew loc ation, either on your
local computer or to another computer, and remove the application fr om its
old location. To start the Movewizard, click Move in the UnInstaller window.
Afte r the a p plicatio n is moved, the wiz ard changes a ll s hortcuts and R egistry
entries to refer to it in its n ew location.
Choose the Move wizard to move an application:
From a crowded hard disk to a new, second hard disk with more space.
