Right-clickFile Lin ks fromthepopupmenutosee whatapplicationusesa
select ed file. If the selected file is an executable file, suc h as a .DLL or .EX E
file, the File Links dialog box displays a list of the files that are used by the
executable file itself.

Whenyou installapplicationsor executablefiles,y ou canoftenchoosenot
to add them to the Programs list. These application files appear in the
DisconnectedE xecutables file group list.
Toaddanexecutablefileto theWindow sProgramslist ,select thefilename
in the PowerClean list. Then click Connect to Start menu on the Tools
menu an d specify where you want t o add the file in the Programs list.
Why does the PowerClean feature open in read-only
mode?

protects you from deleting files or making other changes uninten tionally.
Even in read-only mode, however, you can use the PowerClean feature to:
• Explore the file links and Registry entries o n your computer.
This is a good way to learn how your computer works and what files it
uses.
You can select a file, and then choose File Links from the popup menu to
see what application uses the selecte d file.
• Create a custom file group.
Altho ugh you cannot d elete, move, copy, or archive any files in read-only
mode, you can still definea custom file group to managespecificfiles
