When you want to use Pow erClean to manage files, clear the ch eck next t o
Read-only mode on the PowerClean page of the Settings dialog box. Open the
Settings dialog b ox by clicking Settings from the Options menu.
The Po werClean feature opens in a d ialog bo x that w o rks like the Windows
Explorer. Like the Explorer window, it has a menu bar, a status bar, and a
toolbar thaty ou can customize. Eachpane also hasa shortcut menuthat pops
up when you right-click an item in the Cl e anup Types o r fil e lis t pane.
Th eleftp anedisplaysanexpandablelistof defau ltfile groups.Clickthe+ next
to the group name to expand the group list.
Th e right pane disp lays the na mes of f iles in the selecte d default group. F iles
are color-codedto indicate how important they are to your computer and its
applications.
Default file groups
In PowerClean, files on your computer are grouped into category lists that
makeiteasyt o manage files of certaintypes onall drivesand folders.You can
add your o wn file groups.
When youstart us ing PowerClean,the majorfile groupsappearin the treelist
in th e dia log box . Click the plus s ign (+) next to a file group t o display
subgroups and files.
