Self-Administrator
The Internet Guard Dog Administrator may designate another user as a
Self-Administrator. This feature may be used if for example, the user is an
adult a nd is deemed respon sible eno ugh to c us tomize his priv acy an d
protection settings on his own.
This user can access Inte rnet Guard Dog fea tures and change his settings , not
anyone else’s.

How password protection works in Guard Dog
Whenever you start Windows, Internet Guard Dog prompts you to enter the
password you s et during the Interview. When you en ter an in correct
password, it displays the hint that you provided when you created your
password.
Without thepassword you canstillopentheGuard Dog Homescreen,butyou
won’t be able to change your CheckUp Settings or Protections Settings. Also,
Internet Guard Dog won’t let you use the Password Manager information in
Browser Buddy or send out information protected by Identity Protector.
WARNING:D o n ot forgetyourpassword.Ifyou d o,you’re only option
is to r e install Internet Guard Dog and start all over. You will lo se your
previous Internet Guard Dog settings, Password Manager information
and w on’t be able to use any of your encrypted files.
Using the Internet Guard Dog Home screen
After the interview ends, Product Name displays its Home screen.
