McAfee Internet Guard Dog
• Word List. This option allow s you to filte r Web sites and chat
messages using words and phrases.
• Ad Blocker. Select this o pt ion if y ou w ant Internet G uard Dog to block
certain ads that you do not want the userto view.
• Internet T imes.Thisoptionallowsyoutocontrolthetimesthatauseris
allowed ac cess to the Internet.
• Internet Settings. This option a llows you to automatica lly filter Web s ites
forcontent,chatandinstantmessagessotheusercanonlyviewthesitesor
receive the contents and messages that y ou approved. You can also set to
enable Ad Blocker; Search Cleaner; and allow browsing of approved sites
only from this window.
Viewing Activity Logs
Internet Guard Dognowprovidesalistofactivities that anAdministratorcan
viewviatheActivityL ogsfeature.Thislistis generatedbasedonhi spreferred
security and privacy settings for himself and for other p rofiled users he
created. Anything from dates and time that a user logged on, to PC
mainten ance, and violation (e.g., a user attempting to pass a credit card
number) can be v iewed at the singl e click of a but ton.
Th e Administrator can p rint, sa ve or cle ar this list which c ontain a n y of the
following:
• Violation
Displays any activity of a profiled u ser that violates any o f the pr eset
protection settingsthatthe Administratorh asindicated (e.g.,attempting
to pass a credit card number).
• Maintenance
D isplays list of actionsthat Internet Guard D og perform edincluding the
specific feature used to complete the ta sk.
• Activity
Displays identity of profiled user w ho browsed the Internet using the
compu ter. It alsod isplays the day, date and timethat the userlogo n and
off on the computer.

