McAfee Firewall
McAfee F irewall is a personal firewall that lets you monitor, control and log
your PC's network activity. It protects you from Internet hackers and keeps
your PC private.
McAfeeFirewallfilterstrafficatthedevicesthatyoursystemuses-network
cards a nd modems. This means that it can reject inbound traffic before that
traffic can reach vital functions in your PC and before it c an waste valuable
system resources.
It monitors applicatio ns that a re eithe r trusted or not trusted. When trusted
applications need to access a netw ork, it manages everything in the computer
to a llow that applic ation's t ra ffic. When it detects non-trus ted applications
trying to access a network, it blocks alltraffic to and from that application.
McAfee PGP Personal Privacy
McAfe e PGP Pe rs onal P rivacy protects the privacy of your email mess ages
and files via encryption so that only the inten ded recipients can read them.
You c an also digitally signed messagesan d filesensuring its authenticityand
verifying that information has not been tampered in any way.
Features of the M cAfee PGP Personal Privacy include:
• P hotographicUserID.Youcanaddyourphotographto yourpublickey.
When your Photo ID is signed, itprovidesadditional information when
verifying y our key.
• PGPdisk Functionality. This encryption application enables you to set
aside an ar ea of disk space for storing your sensitive or personal data.
• Sig na ture V e rification. Whe n signa tures colle cte d on keys are
automatically verified when added to y our ring, this feature allows you
to reverify signatures for added security.
• Unknown Recipient or S igner Server Lookup. When decryptin g or
verifying a message,you can automatically performa serverlookup via
