4McAfee Utilities
As you use your com p uter, the information store d on the hard drive changes.
Thishappenswhenyousave,modifyormovedocumentsaswellaswhenyou
install, update or uninstall progr ams. As the information change s, the re is a
chance that critical information can become d amaged.

Th e McAfe e Utilities Centra l window offers b uttons to take you to the four
suites of utilities (F igure 4-1).
If you need he lp , click the Help ic on at the upper ri ght-hand side o f the
window to display the McAfee Utiliti es Centra l Help .
You can also customize how you want to access these utilities and how you
want them to work on your computer. From the Options d rop-downmenu,
select P roperties to disp lay options (see McAfe e Utilities Prope rt ies).
